The fast-growing eatery chain THISBOWL, which blends Asian-inspired bowl dishes with Australian beach culture, has secured its fifth New York City location at 1880 Broadway, the New York Post reported.
The café occupies nearly 2,000 square feet on the Broadway side of the luxury condo tower known as 15 Central Park West, joining retail tenants like West Elm. The building’s retail component, owned by Global Holdings and Madison Capital, is currently 95% leased, highlighting its appeal to high-profile tenants.
Craig Panzirer, head of leasing at Global Holdings, said the deal “reinforces the strength of the property as a destination for dynamic, forward-thinking lifestyle brands,” according to NY Post.
THISBOWL’s new location adds to its growing footprint in Manhattan, complementing existing spots such as its café at 65 Bleecker Street. The expansion reflects a rising demand for casual, health-focused dining options that combine convenience with a trendy, experiential vibe.
A Newmark team represented THISBOWL in the lease negotiations, while Panzirer handled the landlord side in-house, NY Post reported.
The move comes as Manhattan retail continues to see robust leasing activity, especially from lifestyle and food tenants looking for high-traffic, visually appealing spaces. Industry observers note that eateries like THISBOWL benefit from the combination of dense residential and commercial foot traffic offered by locations like 1880 Broadway.
In related Manhattan real estate news, the former Manhattan home of the Core Club, located at 66 East 55th Street, is currently on the market with an asking price of $49 million, NY Post reported. The six-story, 40,000-square-foot building was originally designed as a private members club, complete with a spa, screening room, commercial kitchen, and two outdoor terraces. The Core Club has since relocated to larger space at 711 Fifth Avenue.
Colliers’ marketing team, including Zach Redding, Dylan Kane, Jared King, and Josh Goldstern, is handling the listing. A potential buyer could opt to exclude a Sweetgreen retail condo on the ground floor, which would lower the purchase price. RFR is listed as the seller.
The addition of THISBOWL at 1880 Broadway underscores the building’s appeal to modern retail tenants and lifestyle-oriented brands. With a combination of strategic location, high visibility, and a diverse tenant mix, the property continues to attract growing food and retail concepts seeking a strong Manhattan presence, NY Post reported.
