i24NEWS Unveils Expansive New Programming Grid Featuring Fresh Formats, Global Voices, and Enhanced Editorial Depth

By: Fern Sidman

In a sweeping evolution of its global broadcast lineup, i24NEWS has announced a comprehensive overhaul of its programming grid, set to debut Sunday, November 2, marking one of the most ambitious expansions in the network’s history. The revamped schedule, described by senior executives as a “fusion of depth, diversity, and digital agility,” introduces a host of new shows, enhanced flagship programs, and an expanded roster of anchors, all designed to deliver an even more nuanced and wide-ranging portrait of Israel, the Middle East, and the world beyond.

As The Rundown, Middle East Now, and an array of new primetime programs take their place in the network’s evening lineup, i24NEWS seeks to strengthen its editorial footprint and reaffirm its reputation as one of the world’s most dynamic voices for balanced, fact-driven coverage of global affairs.

According to i24NEWS, the new programming structure represents not only a modernization of its broadcast schedule but also a strategic reorientation toward multi-platform storytelling and deeper audience engagement.

“With this new grid,” said Ronit Ganon Amit, CEO of i24NEWS, “we are reaffirming our commitment to expanding the content provided to our viewers. Our journalists work tirelessly to deliver extensive, real-time coverage of the Middle East to loyal and growing audiences worldwide. It is our top priority to increase both the volume of content and the diversity of voices, enabling us to offer an authentic and balanced portrayal of the region’s complex events.”

That mission is now woven through a lineup designed to give viewers a fuller picture of Israel’s place in the world — from the corridors of power to the frontiers of technology, from local communities to international diplomacy.

At the center of the refreshed schedule is The Rundown, i24NEWS’s flagship news program, which now airs Sunday through Thursday at 20:00 IST // 13:00 EST. Anchored by Nicole Zedeck and Benita Levin, the show expands to a full hour and will offer a blend of headline news, expert interviews, and comprehensive analysis.

Described by producers as the “heartbeat of the network,” The Rundown aims to distill the day’s most consequential stories from Israel, the Middle East, and the wider world. The show’s emphasis on clarity and context aligns with i24NEWS’s editorial ethos of presenting multiple perspectives on the region’s most pressing issues.

Immediately preceding it, Middle East Now — airing at 19:00 IST // 12:00 EST and co-anchored by Laura Cellier and Natasha Kirtchuk — provides a panoramic view of the region’s developments, from conflict zones to emerging partnerships. The show will focus on diplomacy, security, innovation, and the human narratives shaping a region in transformation.

“Our aim is to capture not just the tensions, but the breakthroughs,” said an i24NEWS producer. “Middle East Now is about understanding both the conflicts that divide and the cooperation that unites.”

Rounding out Sunday evenings, Global Eye, hosted by Ellie Hochenberg at 21:00 IST // 14:00 EST, will take audiences beyond Israel’s borders to explore the geopolitical, cultural, and economic forces defining the international order. Each week, the program will feature in-depth discussions with diplomats, academics, and thought leaders, offering a distinctly global perspective framed by the realities of the Middle East.

On Mondays, Jewish World Weekly, led by Emily Frances, shines a spotlight on the Jewish diaspora — covering news, trends, and cultural life from Jewish communities worldwide. The program aims to highlight the evolving relationships between Israel and Jewish populations across continents, offering what i24NEWS calls “a window into global Jewish identity in the 21st century.”

As The Algemeiner and other Jewish media outlets have long noted, i24NEWS’s multilingual programming — in English, French, Arabic, and Hebrew — has become a vital link connecting diaspora audiences to Israeli and regional developments. Jewish World Weekly builds upon that mission, blending journalism with cultural storytelling to bridge the global Jewish experience.

On Tuesdays, i24NEWS introduces Innov’Nation, hosted by Lynn Plagmeijer, a program dedicated to Israel’s globally recognized startup and technology ecosystem. Highlighting groundbreaking inventions, sustainability initiatives, and entrepreneurial success stories, Innov’Nation positions Israel as a hub of innovation whose impact extends well beyond the Middle East.

Meanwhile, On The Record, debuting Wednesdays at 21:00 IST // 14:00 EST, offers viewers half-hour, one-on-one interviews with major newsmakers, policy experts, and influential figures. Hosted by Ariel Oseran, the network’s Senior Middle East Correspondent, the series promises to bring clarity and context to complex issues through extended, unscripted conversation.

“On The Record is designed for depth,” said Oseran in a statement. “We want to go beyond headlines — to understand the motivations, strategies, and human stories behind the policies and conflicts shaping our world.”

Closing the week, i24NEWS Magazine, airing Thursdays at 21:00 IST // 14:00 EST, serves as a curated anthology of the network’s most compelling journalism. Hosted by Emily Frances, the program weaves together standout reports from i24NEWS’s four language channels — English, French, Arabic, and Hebrew — offering what executives describe as a “multifaceted, multilingual perspective on the global conversation.”

Through this format, the network underscores its unique positioning as an international newsroom rooted in Tel Aviv’s Jaffa Port, but broadcasting to audiences across nearly one billion households worldwide. The magazine will spotlight stories of culture, innovation, diplomacy, and human resilience — subjects that transcend borders and language.

According to Ali Waked, i24NEWS’s Head of International Channels and Editor-in-Chief, the redesigned grid reflects the network’s evolution as both a traditional broadcaster and a digital-first media organization.

“A great deal of thought and creative planning went into shaping a dynamic and engaging programming grid,” Waked said. “Our goal was to bring fresh energy to the screen while adapting our content to digital and social media formats. In these critical times of continuous news coverage, our journalists work around the clock from the heart of unfolding events, committed to delivering balanced, accurate reporting and achieving significant journalistic milestones.”

Waked emphasized that the new schedule was designed to appeal to both live TV audiences and the growing number of viewers who engage through i24NEWS’s online platforms and mobile apps. “Today’s audience expects immediacy,” he said. “Whether it’s breaking news from Gaza, an interview from Paris, or analysis from Washington, we are adapting our storytelling to meet that demand — without sacrificing depth.”

Launched in July 2013, i24NEWS has grown from a single broadcast operation into a multi-channel, multi-language global news network. With headquarters at the historic Jaffa Port in Tel Aviv and satellite studios across Europe, North America, and the Middle East, the network provides continuous coverage of Israel, regional affairs, and international events from a distinctly Israeli vantage point.

Since the addition of its Hebrew-language channel in 2024, i24NEWS has expanded its reach to encompass more than one billion households. Viewers can access the network’s content live at www.i24news.tv and through dedicated mobile applications, reflecting its commitment to accessibility and innovation.

With its expanded programming grid, i24NEWS is not merely refreshing its content — it is redefining the contours of international journalism from an Israeli perspective. The network’s executives describe the overhaul as part of a broader effort to meet the demands of an audience that is increasingly global, diverse, and connected across platforms.

In a region where narratives often clash, i24NEWS continues to position itself as a bridge — a broadcaster devoted to factual reporting, open dialogue, and cultural exchange.

As CEO Ronit Ganon Amit succinctly put it, “Our mission is to tell the story of Israel and the Middle East with balance, precision, and humanity. The new programming grid allows us to do just that — and to do it better than ever.”

The launch of the new grid on November 2 represents not only a renewal of the network’s editorial identity but also a powerful statement about the evolving role of Israeli media in the global information landscape: bold, multilingual, and unafraid to innovate.
