Former Trump aide Anthony Scaramucci, who served a grand total of ten days as the White House communications director, has donated $30,000 to President Biden’s defunct 2024 campaign. He now hopes Vice President Kamala Harris will utilize these funds for her presidential bid, following Biden’s withdrawal from the race.

The NY Post broke the latest in the saga of political opportunist and resolute hack Anthony Scaramucci.

According to Federal Election Commission filings, Scaramucci made this hefty donation on June 17 to the Biden Victory Fund, a political action committee now known as the Harris Victory Fund. This marks a significant reversal for Scaramucci, who donated $100,000 last year to support Chris Christie’s failed GOP nomination attempt.

In an exclusive interview with The Post, Scaramucci expressed confidence in Harris, stating, “She will beat Trump.” Despite his support for Democratic candidates, Scaramucci is still registered as a Republican. “I am hanging by a thread as a Republican,” he confessed.

Scaramucci, known as “The Mooch,” has had a colorful career, from his tenure at Goldman Sachs to heading SkyBridge Capital. His political journey has been equally unpredictable. Initially a staunch Trump advocate, he turned into one of Trump’s fiercest critics after being dismissed from his White House role. His firing came after a crude interview with the New Yorker, where he insulted then-chief of staff Reince Priebus and made vulgar comments about Steve Bannon, Trump’s chief strategist.

Since falling out with Trump, Scaramucci has thrown his support behind Democratic efforts to retain the White House. He backed Biden in 2020, although he refrained from donating to Biden’s previous campaign, opting instead to contribute $25,000 to an anti-Trump political action committee.

His donation to the Harris Victory Fund came just days before Biden’s lackluster CNN debate performance, which increased pressure on the 81-year-old to bow out of the race. Scaramucci, having attended a Hamptons event where Biden relied on a teleprompter for a brief speech, expressed concern about Biden’s ability to handle another term, saying, “That is not going to be enough to prove to the American people that he’s up for another four years.”

Following Biden’s decision to step down, Scaramucci posted on social media: “President Biden is an American Patriot, phenomenal career. Time to defeat Trump and the menace he represents.” He also retweeted a post from LinkedIn founder and major Democratic donor Reid Hoffman, praising Harris as “the right person at the right time.” Hoffman lauded Harris for her leadership in “growing the economy, fighting for bodily autonomy, and protecting our democracy,” asserting that she is uniquely positioned to counter Trump’s extremism.

The former aide’s political stance is emblematic of his inconsistency. Once a vocal Trump defender, Scaramucci’s loyalties have shifted dramatically, leaving many questioning the sincerity of his political motivations. His recent donation represents his first significant financial contribution to Biden and Harris’s campaign, despite previously expressing support for them.

Scaramucci’s ever-changing allegiances highlight a pattern of opportunistic behavior, with his latest move appearing as an attempt to remain relevant in the political arena. As the race unfolds, it remains to be seen if his support will significantly impact Harris’s campaign.
