The Adventure Park at Long Island, the zip line and treetop climbing experience announces its opening day on Friday, March 26, 2021. Sporting 14 different courses, including 26 zip lines, and 185 different elements, The Adventure Park is the largest attraction of its kind on Long Island offering fun for adventurers of all ages and ability levels.

New to the park in 2021 are three new trails at challenge levels of yellow, green, and blue. These new trails will add 42 new challenges and 4 new ziplines to the Park.

Yellow Trail: Goldfinch

This is a yellow trail designed for beginners 7+, though it’s anything but easy. Even the yellow trails will challenge your skills and give you a sense of accomplishment. Lifelines are a little shorter to allow smaller children to do the course on their own.

Green Trail: Jungle Pass

The new green trail is the next level of adventure with many unique elements, including a challenge called the Bridge of Connecticut where participants traverse a tightwire while pushing through hanging challenges.

Blue Trail: Tidal Wave

This blue trail is a bit more challenging course that requires more agility, good balance, and some strength. The trail is a bit more advanced than existing blue trails for those that want an extra challenge. This trail also has one of the longest zipline in the park at almost 200 feet.

Adventure Park founder/CEO, Bahaman Azarm, shares the details behind these exciting new trails.

Candie Fisher, VP, Sales and Marketing, The Adventure Park, states “We are thrilled to open our Long Island Park for the season as we know everyone is eager to get outdoors for fun and exciting activities.” Fisher adds “Most importantly, the health and safety of our guests is a top priority, and we continue to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The Park offers ample space for social distancing. All high touch areas are cleaned before and after guest use. Masks are required on the ground and whenever social distancing cannot be maintained.”

There are trails suitable for kids, teens, adults, and groups. These trails consist of platforms installed in the trees and connected by various configurations of cable, wood, and rope to form “crossings” of different kinds including the ever-popular zip lines. Climbers wear harnesses that are doubly secured to safety cables using the Park’s “always locked on” system of interlocking safety clips. Before venturing onto the trails, climbers receive an interactive orientation and practice session.

“Firepit Friday” returns adding a campfire to the night climbs where guests can get cozy by the fire. Plus, the regular “Glow In The Park” will return for the season where the lights in the treetop aerial trails will be colorfully aglow at night.

Tickets for climbing during the day or for the nighttime “Glow In the Park” portion are available on The Adventure Park website’s ticketing page.

Non-climbing family and friends are admitted free of charge to share the experience on the ground at the picnic tables and the community firepit. Non-climbing spectators must make a free reservation due to COVID capacity restrictions.

The Adventure Park is open to the general public and is located on the grounds of the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds in Wheatley Heights NY.

The Park’s friendly staff is available to answer questions and assist all guests from the moment customers arrive until the moment they conclude their climb.
