(DCNF) Hollywood embodied its own stereotype Sunday at the Oscars as jokes about pedophilia found their way into the program.

Award show host Conan O’Brien waited until midway through the live broadcast to highlight Hollywood’s long-standing reputation as a breeding ground for pedophiles. He referenced the Super Bowl halftime show and the highly publicized feud between singers Drake and Kendrick Lamar that took front and center at the sporting event. O’Brien took the stage at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood after a commercial break and opened the segment by saying, “well, we’re halfway through the show – which means it’s time for Kendrick Lamar to come out and call Drake a pedophile!”
Lamar and Drake have been exchanging diss tracks in a public spat for several months. Their dispute escalated when Drake sued Lamar for calling him a pedophile in his song “Not Like Us.”
Lamar went on to perform the diss track at Super Bowl LIX, despite facing a defamation lawsuit for his lyrical accusations. He left out the word ‘pedophile’ in the crafty diss-display, to dodge legal woes, but continued to publicly drag his arch nemesis throughout his performance.
O’Brien mimicked Lamar’s conscious diss after publicly dragging Drake on the award show stage.

Pedophilia remains a recurring dark cloud over Hollywood, with an increasing number of sexual assault allegations continuing to surface. A long list of perpetrators have become even more famous for the heinous acts they committed than the careers they left behind.
