Arkia Israeli Airlines Introduces Innovative Business Class on New York-Tel Aviv Route

New premium cabin features fully reclining flatbeds, enhanced amenities, and a luxury in-flight experience starting May 14, 2025.

Arkia Israeli Airlines is expanding its international operations and has announced the launch of a new business class service on its flights between New York (JFK) and Tel Aviv (TLV). Beginning May 14, 2025, Arkia flights to New York will be operated on an Airbus A330-200 aircraft, featuring a premium business class cabin designed for an elevated travel experience. The newly introduced cabin will include 18 state-of-the-art seats that fully recline into flatbeds, offering passengers the highest level of comfort and luxury.

“The introduction of our new business class marks a significant milestone in Arkia’s evolution as an international airline. This enhancement allows us to expand our customer base while providing a premium, high-quality travel experience,” said Oz Berlovitz, CEO of Arkia Israeli Airlines.

Arkia’s business class passengers will enjoy exclusive benefits before departure, including access to the Dan Lounge at Ben Gurion Airport and select lounges at John F. Kennedy International Airport—both offering Kosher dining options. A dedicated check-in area and expedited boarding process further enhance the seamless travel experience.

Once on board, business class travelers will be seated in spacious, fully reclining seats designed for maximum in-flight comfort. The premium experience also includes an expanded baggage allowance, comprising a carry-on bag, a trolley, and two checked suitcases, each weighing up to 70 lbs (32 kg). Passengers will receive high-quality amenities, including personal headphones, a pillow and blanket, a personal water bottle, slippers, and an exclusive business class amenities kit.

Gourmet dining is a key feature of Arkia’s new business class, with passengers enjoying two hot meals, an expanded selection of alcoholic beverages, and an array of soft drinks, sparkling beverages, petit fours, and other premium refreshments.

Arkia launched its direct flight route from New York in February as part of a strategic initiative to address the shortage of direct flights between Israel and the United States while increasing competition in the aviation market. The route has experienced strong demand, and Arkia remains committed to offering a service that upholds the highest standards of quality and comfort.

Business class fares will start at $1,750 per person for a one-way ticket.
