A senior Democratic congressman said this week that the two-state solution appears to be dead – done in by Hamas invasion of Israel in October 2023.
On Sunday, Rep. Jim Himes (CT-D) appeared on Fox News to discuss the wars in Ukraine and Gaza and Trump administration efforts to cut wasteful spending.
Himes, a long-time supporter of Palestinian statehood and the two-state solution, acknowledged in the interview that the two-state solution no long appears to be relevant.
Responding to a Newsweek article published last week under the headline “The Two-State Solution Died With Ariel and Kfir Bibas,” referring to the two young Israeli hostages murdered in captivity in Gaza, Himes said the two-state solution likely was already dead, following the invasion of October 7th, 2023.
“As it happens, I just spent a week in Israel and had about two hours with the prime minister, and I think the two-state solution died not with the brutal murder of these hostages, but frankly, it has been on life support for a very long time and the Hamas attack on Israel…probably ended that.”
Himes added that Israel was likely to resume its war against Hamas, citing the terror group’s ongoing abuse of hostages, including parading those set to be released.
“You just can’t see hostages treated the way these hostages have been treated.”
Hamas, Himes continued, must be “taken out of the equation.”
While acknowledging that the two-state solution appears to been rendered irrelevant, Himes said he hoped that Israel and the Palestinian Authority would engage in talks to de-escalate tensions in Judea and Samaria.
“There needs to be some solution,” Himes said. “There are millions of Palestinians who are enraged.”
“Israel will never be secure as long as they are living in a very small sliver of land with millions of enraged Palestinians.”
To hell with him monstrous “enraged” palestinians. Who gives a damn? They need to be crushed, humiliated, and demoralized from ever again attempting to destroy the Jewish people. Anything else gives them hope they can achieve their generations-long commitment to victory over the Jewish people.
Enraged Palestinians!?? Enrage Palestinians!?? What about enraged Israelis? What about enraged Jews!?? I am sorry but we live in a backwards world where people go around supporting the attrocities that Hamas and the “Palestinians” did on October 7th. It is time for Israel to take the land. and let the Palestinians go to Jordan, or Egypt. They are all criminals, all sociopaths… etc. I am not saying there are no good Palestinians. If one looks hard enough I am sure they are there, but having a celebration about the death of babies? They are no more than a barbaric culture that needs to be eradicated. I am a pacifist, but enough is enough. I used to believe in a 2-state solution, but no more. Never Again is NOW!
Why are we still reading about “Palestinians”? They are Arabs, just like any other Arabs. They have none of the indicia of distinct peoplehood. All they have is a falsified history, a blood hatred of Jews, and untold millions of dollars in wasted “charity” from the EU. Those ingredients don’t constitute a new “people.” (Not that they could plausibly govern themselves anyway.) So please, let’s bury the fiction of a “Palestinian people” and choose to deal with reality.
The “two state solution“ is DEAD according to the vast majority of Israelis. It is only the ENEMY American “Jewish” organizations that persist in their WAR on ISRAEL!
These ENEMY DEMOCRATS need to be fought and destroyed as phony nominal “Jewish“ organizations! The ENEMY DEMOCRAT ADL and every “religious” reform and conservative must be vomited out of the Jewish people.
