Report: Police Find Morphine Vial in Locker of Australian Nurse who Claimed to have Killed Israelis

By United with Israel Staff

Police have allegedly found a vial of morphine in the personal locker of one of the nurses who went on an anti-Israel rant and threatened to kill Israelis, 7NEWS Australia reported on Saturday.

Nurses Ahmed Rashid Nadir and Sarah Abu Lebdeh last week were fired from Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital in Sydney’s southwest after a video clip surfaced of the two speaking with Israeli social media influencer Max Veifer.

In the clip, Veifer identified himself as an Israeli to the nurses, who were wearing scrubs with the New South Wales (NSW) Health logo. Nadir responded, “I’m so upset that you’re Israeli … eventually you’re going to get killed and go to Jahannam [hell], God willing.”

When Veifer asked why he’d be killed, Abu Labda, who was wearing the traditional Muslim head covering, answered, “It’s Palestine’s country, it’s not yours, you piece of sh**.”

Veifer also asked what they would do if an Israeli would come to their hospital.

Abu Labda immediately answered, “I won’t treat them, I’ll kill them.”

When Veifer started responding, “So if an Israeli is in Australia and God forbid something happened to him and he comes to your hospital,” she interrupted to say, “Not God forbid, I would hope to God.”

“You have no idea how many [Israelis] came to this hospital, and I sent them to Jahannam,” Nadir said next, while using the cutting throat gesture. “I literally sent them to Jahannam.”

According to 7NEWS, after the two nurses were fired, police allegedly found a vial of morphine in Nadir’s personal locker at the hospital.

Nadir had reportedly asked a former colleague to empty out his locker, but the latter had instead called police, feeling uncomfortable with the request.

That vial was seized and will form part of the investigation, according to the report.

Police also said they had confiscated a number of items during a raid at Nadir’s house in western Sydney, according to 7NEWS.

“Officers attached to Strike Force Pearl executed a search warrant at a home in Bankstown about 6pm (on Friday), in connection with an ongoing investigation,” a police statement said.

“A number of items were taken for further examination.”
