(Daily Caller) A 13-year-old boy is in custody in Oakland County, Michigan, after police said he was responsible for multiple home invasions spanning across two years, 6ABC News reported.

Investigators said he entered residences through unlocked windows while targeting young girls, according to 6ABC News. Sheriff Michael Bouchard credited community tips for leading to the teen suspect’s arrest.

“As soon as we realized what we had in terms of complexity and repetitive nature, we put it out to the community and got a quick response,” Bouchard said. “The suspect is 13 years old. He’s a tall 13-year-old, and the parent, I would also say, has been cooperative.”

Bouchard said the break-ins, some of which went unreported, recently escalated, allowing detectives to connect the cases. The suspect allegedly entered in all 11 incidents via an unlocked window. He allegedly employed a knife to threaten victims in no less than three. One of those targeted was the 15-year-old daughter of Shauntay Pryor.

“She wanted to know who it was. Apparently, the little kids around the town, middle schoolers, and high schoolers, had a little group chat going on; they knew who it was before we did,” Pryor said. (RELATED: Florida Police Say They Found Vast Arsenal In Raid Against 11-Year-Old)

Pryor said police later verified who the suspect was. He attended school with her 13-year-old son and had watched her children exit the school bus, learning where they resided, she told the outlet. The suspect allegedly used a knife to force Pryor’s daughter to undress, stabbed her hand and choked her. He fled through a window when her sister came downstairs, according to Pryor. The girl has been in therapy since.

Now that the suspect is in custody at Oakland County’s Children’s Village, Pryor wants him to receive professional assistance. “Ain’t no way this 13-year-old baby should be like this at all. He is a monster, and he’s a baby,” she said.

Authorities have the suspect in custody at the Oakland County Children’s Village. The prosecutor’s office is considering charges.
