Musk’s Team Uncovers $59M FEMA Scandal: Luxury Hotels for Migrants Instead of Disaster Relief
Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) team has once again exposed government waste—this time uncovering a shocking $59 million FEMA payout to luxury hotels in New York City for housing illegal migrants.
“The DOGE team just discovered that FEMA sent $59M LAST WEEK to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal migrants,” Musk revealed on X early Monday.
Musk slammed the move as both illegal and a direct violation of the President’s executive order, emphasizing that these funds were intended for American disaster relief—not extravagant accommodations for illegal migrants. He added that a “clawback demand” would be issued immediately to recover the misused funds.
This revelation comes after a December report exposed a $220 million deal between NYC officials and Pakistan to lease the prestigious Roosevelt Hotel for migrant housing—an arrangement that saw American tax dollars flow to a foreign government.
Many Americans have expressed outrage, pointing out FEMA’s inconsistent funding priorities. While illegal migrants receive high-end housing, disaster-stricken communities—such as those in Western North Carolina—have struggled for months to get FEMA aid. Under the previous administration, these areas were largely overlooked, but the tide has shifted since President Trump took office on January 20.
Musk’s latest findings add fuel to the growing debate over government spending and accountability, as Americans demand answers on why disaster relief funds are being diverted from citizens in need.
