Palestinianism was Created in 1964
Dear Editor:
For centuries after the Arab invasion and occupation of the Middle East and North Africa, Christians and Jews lived as Dhimmi among their Muslim neighbors. That was normal. Then, in the mid-1800s, Zionists started moving into what became, in 1920, the British Mandate for Palestine, the reconstituted Jewish homeland. They purchased whatever land the effendi would sell and began to develop it. Their creativity demanded workers and immigration doubled the Arab population by 1948.
Haj Amin al-Husseini, son of an effendi, was the leader of the Arabs. He instigated pogroms against the Jews. He joined Hitler in fighting WWII. He escaped to Beirut, where he railed against the UN suggestion to split the mandate between Jews and Arabs.
When the mandate ended and Israel was welcomed into the United Nations. Husseini’s militias and 5 Arab armies attacked. They failed to destroy the new state, although Transjordan captured Judea and Samaria and Egypt took Gaza. 700,000 Arabs fled. This humiliation became known as the Nakba.
In 1972, Khaled Al-Azm, Syria’s prime minister after the 1948 war, wrote in his memoirs: “Since 1948, it is we who demanded the return of the refugees…..while it is we who made them leave…..We brought disaster upon Arab refugees, by inviting them and bringing pressure to bear upon them to leave…..We have rendered them dispossessed…..We have accustomed them to begging…..We have participated in lowering their moral and social level…..Then we exploited them in executing crimes of murder, arson and throwing bombs upon…..men, women and children – all of this in the service of political purposes.”
The concept of Palestinianism was created by the Soviet KGB in 1964. It was a tool to diminish American influence in the region by destroying Israel. They recruited fighters from throughout MENA and called them Palestinians. Terrorism was their modus operandi. They caused havoc, and were thrown out of Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon. They supported Iraq against Kuwait. They were, and are, distrusted in the Arab world.
For some inane reason, Israel signed the 1993 Oslo Accords allowing Yasser Arafat and 100,000 followers into Israel. Oct. 7, 2023 was the result.

Trump’s Bold Leadership in the Fight Against Anti-Semitism
Dear Editor,
I write today with deep gratitude and admiration for President Donald J. Trump’s unwavering commitment to combating the scourge of anti-Semitism in the United States. His newly signed Executive Order to expand federal action against anti-Semitism is not only a decisive step forward but a powerful reaffirmation of his administration’s historic dedication to protecting Jewish Americans from hatred, harassment, and violence.
As The Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) rightly pointed out, the surge in anti-Semitic discrimination since the Hamas terror attacks of October 7, 2023, has reached alarming levels, particularly on college campuses. Institutions such as Harvard, Columbia, and George Mason University have become breeding grounds for unchecked Jew-hatred, with Jewish students facing intimidation, threats, and outright physical assault. In the face of this escalating crisis, the federal government’s previous inaction was nothing short of a moral failure. President Trump, however, has drawn a clear red line: this failure ends today.
This Executive Order, building upon the groundbreaking Executive Order 13899 issued by President Trump in 2019, takes a comprehensive approach by mobilizing all federal agencies to identify legal tools—both civil and criminal—to confront anti-Semitism head-on. Unlike past administrations that merely paid lip service to this issue, President Trump is ensuring that every lever of American power is deployed to root out this dangerous hatred. The order not only mandates strict oversight of anti-Semitic activity in schools but also directs federal agencies to investigate universities that fail to protect Jewish students. This is precisely the action that has been desperately needed in the face of rampant campus anti-Semitism.
Moreover, this order ensures accountability at the highest levels, requiring detailed reports from the Attorney General, the Secretary of Education, and the Secretary of Homeland Security on civil rights violations against Jewish students. These agencies will no longer be able to ignore or sideline anti-Semitic incidents. President Trump’s administration is making it clear: no university, no bureaucrat, and no foreign student involved in anti-Semitic violence will escape scrutiny.
At a time when Jewish communities in America and around the world are under siege, President Trump has once again demonstrated his unparalleled leadership. His courage in standing up for Jewish Americans, in the face of silence from so many others, is commendable beyond words. This Executive Order is not just a bureaucratic document—it is a shield for Jewish students, a promise of protection, and a bold declaration that anti-Semitism will never be tolerated in America.
For this, President Trump deserves the highest praise. He has not only reaffirmed America’s commitment to its Jewish citizens but has set a gold standard for how a nation should combat anti-Semitism. May this order serve as an enduring legacy of his steadfast support for Jewish communities and a model for future administrations to follow.

The NYT’s Inaccurate Reporting
Dear Editor:
In his late January column for The New York Times, Peter Beinart claims that “Palestinians in the West Bank (sic) …live as permanent noncitizens, without basic rights, under Israeli rule.” Actually, it is the Palestinian Authority, not Israel, which rules over 98% of the Palestinian Arabs. The IDF’s military governor and administration were removed following the signing of the Oslo II Accord way back in 1995. How could Beinart not know this? No Israeli troops are stationed in any Palestinian Authority administered cities. No Israeli citizens reside there.
The Palestinian Authority runs the courts, the police, the schools, the labor unions, the economy, the media, and the elections—on the rare occasions when Mahmoud Abbas allows voting. Abbas, the Palestinian Authority chairman, is now in the 20th year of what was supposed to be a four year term. It is Mahmoud Abbas and his security forces, not the Israelis, who are ruling the Palestinian Authority’s residents. How is it that Beinart, or The New York Times editorial board, is unaware of this basic truth? If the Times were committed to accurate reporting, it would at least report on the Palestinian Authority’s role in governing the “West Bank” —and perhaps even use the correct names for the region: Judea and Samaria.
Sincerely,

Inflation is Devouring Working Families
Dear Editor,
The price of a carton of eggs has become a symbol of the financial pain gripping American families. What was once an affordable household staple has become a luxury item in many homes across the country. Families who used to buy eggs for a few dollars are now forced to pay nearly triple for the same dozen. This is just one glaring example of how inflation has made it incredibly difficult for working parents to afford the most basic necessities.
The so-called Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), signed into law by former President Joe Biden, has been an utter failure. Instead of alleviating the financial burdens of American families, it has done little more than fuel reckless government spending while everyday people struggle to make ends meet. The very name of the bill is now a cruel joke to the millions of Americans standing in checkout lines, watching their grocery bills soar to unimaginable levels.
The crisis extends far beyond eggs. Milk, bread, meat, and fresh produce—all essentials for raising healthy children—have skyrocketed in price. Parents who once felt confident in their ability to provide nutritious meals for their kids are now forced to make impossible choices at the grocery store. Do they buy a dozen eggs or a gallon of milk? Do they stretch meals with processed, less healthy options because fresh food has become too expensive? This is the devastating reality that inflation has inflicted upon hard-working American families.
Sincerely,
