In a stunning development in one of the most high-profile criminal cases of recent years, a New York federal judge has set the trial date for the Alexander brothers’ sex trafficking case for January 2026. As reported on Friday by The Real Deal, prosecutors revealed that they are preparing a superseding indictment, which will add additional charges against the disgraced real estate moguls.
At their first court appearance in the Southern District of New York, former top brokers Tal and Oren Alexander, alongside their brother, security executive Alon Alexander, entered not-guilty pleas to charges of sex trafficking and conspiracy to commit sex trafficking. The proceedings, presided over by Judge Valerie Caproni, came just two weeks after their transfer from Florida to New York following their high-profile arrests.
According to the information provided in The Real Deal report, Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Espinosa revealed that federal investigators have interviewed approximately 60 alleged victims, many of whom claim they were assaulted by one or more of the Alexander brothers. The allegations span more than two decades, with at least three victims stating they were minors at the time of the alleged assaults.
Federal prosecutors have amassed a trove of evidence, much of it derived from an exhaustive examination of the brothers’ digital footprints. As detailed in The Real Deal report, authorities searched both their New York and Miami residences, seizing 19 electronic devices, including laptops, iPads, hard drives, thumb drives, SD cards, a Motorola cellphone and an Apple watch.
In addition, investigators have obtained access to the brothers’ iCloud accounts, Instagram and Facebook profiles, and dating app accounts belonging to Oren and Alon.
Among the most damning pieces of evidence recovered was a hard drive seized from Tal Alexander’s Manhattan apartment, which allegedly contained explicit videos depicting Oren, Alon, and unidentified men engaging in sexual acts with intoxicated women. The Real Deal report noted that prosecutors have described the contents as critical evidence in their case against the trio.
As the case against the Alexanders intensifies, their family members remain closely involved. According to the information contained in The Real Deal report, their parents, Shlomy and Orly Alexander, as well as Oren’s wife, Kamila Hansen Alexander, attended the hearing in a show of support.
Despite their family’s backing, Judge Valerie Caproni has refused to grant bail, citing the brothers’ wealth, overseas assets, and access to private jets and boats as key factors making them a flight risk. The Real Deal reported that Alon’s attorney, Howard Srebnick, argued that the Alexanders’ parents were willing to “risk everything” to secure their release, while defense attorneys for Tal and Oren pledged “any amount” to have them placed under house arrest.
However, Judge Caproni ultimately ruled in favor of the prosecution, emphasizing the severity of the charges and the potential danger the brothers pose to their communities. The Real Deal reported that despite multiple appeals from their legal team, the Alexanders remain detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where they are being held alongside rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs and Luigi Mangione, the alleged killer of the United Healthcare CEO.
In addition to the criminal case, the Alexanders are also facing multiple civil lawsuits filed by women who claim they were drugged and sexually assaulted by one or more of the brothers.
As reported by The Real Deal, in December, a federal judge dismissed one of these civil complaints, which alleged that Tal and Alon raped a woman while Oren watched. The dismissal by Judge Lewis Kaplan was based on procedural deadlines rather than the merits of the case, leaving open the possibility of further legal action in other courts.
The legal firestorm surrounding the Alexanders has also taken a personal toll. According to The Real Deal, Tal Alexander’s wife, Arielle Alexander, filed for divorce last month—just a year and a half after their marriage. The couple, who resided in a luxury apartment at 432 Park Avenue, had recently welcomed their first child before the scandal erupted.
Her decision to file for divorce signals a further unraveling of the Alexanders’ once-glamorous image, as their real estate empire collapses under the weight of criminal accusations and public outrage.
With the trial set for January 2026, the Alexander brothers face a long legal road ahead. The Real Deal reported that prosecutors continue to build their case, and with new charges expected in the coming months, the legal stakes are only growing higher.
