With the Biden presidency weeks away from its conclusion, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre will be out of a job soon, and a panel of media luminaries gave the Daily Caller their idea of what she might do next.
The consensus seemed to be that KJP, despite being considered by many to have performed poorly at her White House gig, will likely find safe harbor as a contributor on a cable news program, just like her predecessor Jen Psaki.

“She’ll go where all the other failed Hollywood actors go when they’re useless to the deep state: a cable chat show that exclusively exists to sell weird books and products to lonely women,” Daily Caller alum and media veteran Kay Hill said.
NewsBusters Managing Editor Curtis Houck concurred, adding “I fully anticipate someone will hire her as a contributor, whether it be a return to MSNBC or even CNN.”
Jean-Pierre’s predecessor, Jen Psaki, jumped ship in 2022, leaving the Biden White House to host her own show “Inside with Jen Psaki” on MSNBC.
KJP’s record of lying and floundering, however, should disqualify her from any future cable news pundit jobs, Houck added.

“In a merit-based world, Karine Jean-Pierre would be unemployable in TV news,” he told the Caller. “It’s still remarkable to me that she spent years as an established cable news pundit and sitting for lengthy segments where guests would have to think on their feet and go beyond talking points.”
Others, though, pointed out that her dishonesty actually makes her a perfect candidate for TV news.
“KJP was so dumb, so dishonest, and so bad at her job that I can only assume she’ll have a show on CBS News next year,” Mollie Hemingway, a best-selling author and editor-in-chief of The Federalist, told the Caller.
But a cushy MSNBC gig for KJP isn’t a foregone conclusion, Emily Jashinsky, D.C. Correspondent for UnHerd and co-host of “Breaking Points,” told the Daily Caller.
KJP will likely have less leverage than past press secretaries, Jashinsky observed, because of how bad the Biden presidency has been during her tenure.
“The Biden brand is bad, even on the left right now. It may be difficult for people like KJP to get jobs as prominent as Jen Psaki’s at MSNBC, given that Psaki departed before the wheels really started to fall off the administration,” Jashinsky said.
Others concurred with Jashinsky’s assessment, pointing out that Jean-Pierre has a record of falsehoods that will likely be hard to shake.
“Where do you go to wash off the catastrophic amount of lying she did to the American people about Biden’s condition?” Scott Jennings, a popular conservative commentator on CNN and newly-minted member of the LA Times editorial board, told the Caller. “She’s at the center of the biggest scandal going in American politics,” he concluded.
Jean-Pierre repeatedly defended President Biden’s mental fitness and acuity, despite a clear and noticeable degradation of the President’s mental faculties.
In June she dismissed videos of the President wandering around aimlessly at the G7 Summit as “cheap fakes,” accusing media outlets who were reporting on the video of deceptive editing. (RELATED: Biden’s Public Decline Tests Limits Of White House Spin Operation)
Jean-Pierre would leap to the President’s defense a number of other times over the summer, continuing to tout his mental fitness up to, and indeed beyond, his disastrous debate performance which culminated in his bowing out of the race.
Jean-Pierre told reporters July 3 that Biden was “sharp as ever.” Less than three weeks later, Biden dropped out. (RELATED: Even As Riled Up As They Are, No One In The White House Press Is Willing To Call KJP A Liar)
More recently, KJP was caught lying red-handed about Hunter Biden’s pardon.
On numerous occasions, Jean-Pierre told reporters that Biden would not pardon his son Hunter.
“We’ve been asked that question multiple times, our answer stands, which is no,” she said in November.
Less than three weeks later Biden issued a sweeping pardon for Hunter.
Despite her clear record of dishonesty, there seems to be no doubt that Jean-Pierre will land on her feet.
Houck noted she may return to a spokesperson gig for a leftist organization, like her previous job advocating for MoveOn.org.
Other experts floated the idea of a seven-figure book deal.
“Her obvious path is the classic spox role — big book with a gift advance, and gig on a cable news channel friendly to her side,” Wilfred Reilly, a professor of political science at Kentucky State University, told the Caller.
Reilly noted the path is not an uncommon one for former cabinet secretaries, pointing out Psaki’s MSNBC job, as well as former George W. Bush advisor Karl Rove’s role as a Fox News contributor.
The prospect of an inside look at the Biden White House book seems likely. Each of the last five Press Secretaries have written a book about their time in the West Wing.
“Karine Jean-Pierre only has one move: a tell-all book, New York Post columnist Karol Markowicz told the Caller. “A six to seven digit book deal makes sense, especially as the media is finally moving to their mea culpas about who knew what about the president’s diminished state. She had a front row seat to it and, of course, now it can be told!” she concluded.
