The Greenwich Unveils Manhattan’s Highest Private Pool, Elevating Luxury Living to New Heights
Edited by: TJVNews.com
The Greenwich, a newly completed 88-story residential tower in downtown Manhattan, has set a new standard for sky-high luxury with the unveiling of the highest private pool in the city. Perched more than 800 feet above ground, this exclusive, 50-foot indoor saltwater lap pool offers residents a breathtaking panorama of the New York skyline. As reported by The New York Post on Wednesday, the tower at 125 Greenwich Street is redefining the meaning of high-end urban living with its state-of-the-art amenities and world-class design.
According to the information provided in The New York Post report, the pool is the crown jewel of “The 88,” a three-story amenities suite that now ranks as the tallest of its kind in New York City. Residents can take in stunning views of the Empire State Building, One World Trade Center, the Statue of Liberty, and even Jersey City while swimming laps in a space that feels more like a floating five-star resort than a high-rise tower.

Beyond its record-setting pool, The Greenwich offers a comprehensive suite of elite amenities, designed to provide an unparalleled living experience. As detailed in The New York Post report, The 88 spans the tower’s top three floors, incorporating elements of wellness, entertainment, and fitness into an extraordinary residential retreat.
Level 86 features a private screening room, a 14-seat dining room with a fireplace and harbor views, and a sprawling resident lounge for socializing.
Level 87 is dedicated to wellness, boasting separate men’s and women’s sauna and steam rooms, private spa treatment suites, and a high-end salon offering personal grooming services.
Level 88, the highest point of the building, is a fitness sanctuary, outfitted with Technogym’s top-tier exercise equipment, including a gym, weight room, yoga and Pilates studios—all set against the backdrop of breathtaking aerial views.
The entire amenities suite was designed by MAWD (March and White Design), a globally renowned interior architecture studio, and furnished with pieces from such luxury brands as Molteni&C and Poltrona Frau, as was indicated in The New York Post report. The result is a seamless blend of opulence, comfort, and modern sophistication.

Despite its grand debut, The Greenwich faced a significant challenge earlier in 2024. As reported by The New York Post, a fire broke out on the building’s roof on March 20, 2024. The incident, caused by a welding accident that ignited insulation materials, briefly stalled the project’s progress. Fortunately, construction teams swiftly contained the fire, and no major damages were reported.
This unexpected hurdle did not deter developers from pushing forward with the tower’s final phases, ensuring that The Greenwich would stand as one of downtown Manhattan’s most luxurious new residences.

The Greenwich is more than just a landmark of luxury living—it is also a tribute to the late Uruguayan architect Rafael Viñoly, whose visionary designs have reshaped New York’s skyline. As highlighted by The New York Post, the 912-foot skyscraper is one of Viñoly’s final major projects, completed after his passing on March 2, 2023, from an aneurysm at the age of 78.
Viñoly, best known for his soaring skyscrapers, was the creative force behind 432 Park Avenue, the super-tall residential tower on Billionaires’ Row, which became one of the most iconic and controversial residential buildings in New York City. With The Greenwich, he leaves behind another monumental addition to the city’s skyline, one that embodies his signature aesthetic of sleek minimalism, bold verticality, and striking engineering feats.
The Greenwich is not just another luxury tower—it represents a new pinnacle of residential living in Manhattan, setting new benchmarks for height, exclusivity, and comfort. As noted in the The New York Post report, the combination of sky-high amenities, world-class wellness facilities, and exquisite design makes this Financial District skyscraper a coveted address for New York’s elite.
With its record-breaking pool, elevated fitness and spa experiences, and breathtaking views, The Greenwich is more than just a place to live—it’s an oasis above the city, redefining what it means to live at the top.
