Jewish groups congratulate Trump, look forward to working with him

B’nai B’rith International cited collaborating on “combating antisemitism, safeguarding Jewish communities, ensuring Israel’s security, strengthening the vital U.S.-Israel alliance and other key policy priorities.”

The American Jewish Committee mentioned working together “to strengthen Israel’s place in the world and ensure a thriving and secure future for the Jewish people.”

AIPAC stated that it looks forward to working with Trump to “strengthen and expand the U.S.-Israel relationship.”

The Anti-Defamation League cited Yeshiva University president Rabbi Ari Berman, who delivered a benediction at the Inauguration, in its congratulatory statement. “We must confront rising antisemitism on college and university campuses, push for the release of all hostages in Gaza and work toward peace in the Middle East,” ADL stated.

The Republican Jewish Coalition wrote that “America’s new Golden Age begins now. America is back.”

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), Senate Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.), House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) and Rep. Lisa McClain (R-Mich.) stated jointly that “our country now stands at the threshold of a new era.”

“House Republicans will work closely with President Trump to deliver the ‘America First’ agenda. We are focusing on economic policies that return jobs to American workers, lower inflation, cut taxes and revive our manufacturing sector,” the lawmakers said.

“We will work relentlessly to secure our borders, enforce our laws, make the federal government more efficient for the American people, advance common-sense policies and promote peace through strength,” they added.
