NSC Issues Terrorism Alert Against Israelis in Southeast Asian Countries with an Emphasis on Thailand

Edited by: TJVNews.com

The National Security Council (NSC) has updated the public on the worsening threat of terrorism against Israelis in Southeast Asian countries, with an emphasis on Thailand.

Following the threats identified in recent weeks by terrorist elements against Israelis in Thailand, for which the NSC issued a clarification to the public on the subject on November 24, 2024. Intelligence received indicates that the terrorist infrastructure that carried out the murder of Rabbi Zvi Kogan,  in Dubai, on November 21, is planning additional terrorist activities, in the assessment of all relevant security elements in the Southeast Asian arena, with an emphasis on Thailand.

In light of the increasing threat, the NSC recommends that all Israelis residing in Southeast Asian countries adhere to the following recommendations:

1. Avoid visiting places identified with Israel/Jews.

 2. Maintain increased vigilance in public places (including restaurants, hotels, bars, etc.).

3. Avoid displaying Israeli symbols.

4. Cooperate with local security forces, obey their instructions, and report to local police immediately if you are exposed to terrorist activity.  The National Security Headquarters’ travel warning hotline should then be updated at 026667444.

5. Avoid posting travel details on social media and posting photos and visit details before the trip and in real time, including in various groups that focus on tourism abroad.

6. It is generally recommended to lock profiles on social media and avoid sharing.

7. Avoid sharing any details indicating service in the security forces, both on social media and in conversations with foreigners.

Israeli security officials continue to work with all relevant partners in order to remove the threat.
