Front Page MagazineThe New York City subway system has racked up a dozen deaths within a short amount of time including an illegal alien setting a sleeping woman on fire.
And not long after Gov. Hochul assured the public that everything was fine and they should obey and allow congestion pricing to force them into the subways, Christmas Eve was marked with more horrors.
Two people sustained knife wounds in an attack on Christmas Eve at a New York City subway station.
The New York Police Department received reports of an assault at the Grand Central-42 Street subway station at approximately 10:15 p.m. Upon responding to the incident, officers found a 26-year-old woman had been slashed in the neck and a 42-year-old male victim had been slashed in the wrist, according to NYPD. Both victims, who did not appear to know one another, were transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
The important thing is that this is nothing new or unusual. If it weren’t for the timing, it wouldn’t even be worth covering.
Imani-Ciara Pizarro, 26, had just gotten off the 4 train around 10 p.m. and was heading to her administrative night job at the Roosevelt Hotel, which has been converted into a migrant shelter, when she was attacked.
She was Facetiming with her neighbor when she spotted blood spattered on the floor near the turnstiles. Seconds later, she Pizarro “blacked out” when the assailant “sucker punched” her in the back of the head “as hard as he could,” forcing her to the ground.
The suspect, identified by police as 28-year-old Brooklyn native Jason Sargeant, began repeatedly yelling at her “what’s your problem?” — and then lunged at her with a small knife, cutting through her throat. He then kicked Pizarro’s phone away.
“I wish I could be able to travel to my livelihood and not be attacked. I wish there were cops in Grand Central when I was attacked, there were none. I was running for help and there was no one there,” she said.
“There are usually cops in four different spots and I ran to each one of them but none were there,” she said.
“No one called 911. No one in Grand Central called 911. It was my neighbor. I called my neighbor. I was on the phone with my neighbor when it happened and she called 911.”
This isn’t a subway problem.
The problem is that New York City doesn’t have a functioning criminal justice system. And that’s due to Soros DAs like Alvin Bragg and to pro-crime politicians Gov. Hochul and Assembly and Senate Dems who eliminated bail and opened up prisons. Without those things, arrests are a meaningless checkbox in a revolving door system in which criminals are arrested, given diversion to social justice classes, released with appearance tickets, and go right back to attacking people.
Forget funding the police, fill the prisons. Everything else is worthless.
New York City has reverted back to the worst days of the 70s. It can be turned around but not until people wake up to the fact that their leftist politics is what’s killing them.
