There is an election outcome everyone fears but no one is talking about. The race for the White House is so tight where if the difference in the electoral college results is measured by one or two swing states, America will be locked in a much deeper and potentially troubling time ahead for days and perhaps weeks. The Trump and Harris teams are not about to concede, and a new post-election campaign will commence.

If there is an unclear winner in 2024, the 2016 election hyped-Russian collusion hoax and the 2020 Covid-19 election marred in irregularities that created uncertainty and widespread division across the political divide will be seen as minor preludes after what is coming this time around. Multiple legal assaults that had Donald Trump tied up in courts throughout the year and two assassination attempts did not force the former president out of the race. The Dems are not about to allow this election to slip away and tolerate Trump to reign over them.

The 2024 election will be the nation’s most highly contested challenge across the rust, sun, and desert belts where escalating violence and perhaps a civil war is a real possibility. Sure, some will say this is hyperbolic or embedded American democracy will not collapse over a single event. The French and Russian people also believed their countries would not be torn apart by a revolution. Similarities in America have been brewing where two sides of the spectrum beyond the elites have been boiling over and may now be poised to fight for the country they believe in.

In the first few days following the contested election, there will be recounts and mail-in ballot delays as legal challenges mount. Partisan media outlets will begin to push their candidate forward while pointing out the fallacy, dirty tricks, and threats to democracy of the opposing party. If we rely on precedent, Biden’s DOJ will challenge states for dismissing non-citizen ballots favouring Harris while GOP governors take their “Alamo” stand to uphold the integrity of state and federal law that only permits American citizens to cast a cherished vote.

The working class, rural population, patriots, and people of faith will find themselves in their ‘now or never’ opportunity to cease the moment under Trump to emancipate themselves from under the elite bourgeoisie whereas the progressive radicals, whether antifa, BLM, climate, abortion, and gender fluid activists, college campuses, and urban democrats, sense their doom under a Trump regime.

If a winner cannot be crowned in 72 hours to a week in this toxic environment, the fabric of the nation will begin to deteriorate. Claims of cheating, a stolen election, foreign intervention, and misinformation will begin to exasperate and rile the masses. The revolutionary process will creep towards the precipice where tactical chips are played and claims of victory by both sides escalate.

The question of how minds can be turned, especially in large numbers and in a shared direction now looms large. The impact of propaganda, entrenched paradigms, and narratives of domination under fascism, communism, a dictator, or a progressive liberal brings greater frustration and fear that the masses should be more roused to demonstrations, violence, and perhaps another assassination attempt.

Languishing uncertainty will see the stock market collapse, rumors over deleveraged banks faltering, supply chain issues where hording begins to play out, and inflation raises it ugly head again. With the nation mired in disarray, enemies and foes abroad may take advantage of the preoccupied superpower. State sponsored online misinformation fueling the fire of discontent with narratives of a stolen election will rile and stir fringe elements on the far right or left to act or a wide-open window of opportunity for China, Iran, and Russia to pursue military actions in their theatres.

Moderates on both sides will attempt to influence expectations and quell tensions of those who are contemplating aggressive actions that rioting and potential irregular warfare is doomed to failure and only further tear the country apart. The nation’s economy will crater further with downgrades in the debt ratings and the GDP, and banks unable to respond to panicked runs for cash over digital purchases. Meanwhile gun purchases and ammunition will skyrocket, and hording at the retail level becomes mainstream.

New technologies in the modern world will see the battle space on social media -Facebook, X, TikTok, and podcasts coercing impressionable minds in shaping perceptions designed to drive demonstrations, swarms, and disruptions that lead to property destruction and violence against counter demonstrations. Radical networks require an underlying social cohesion and attachment to their political party and objectives by bringing diverse individuals and groups together for the greater cause. Fractures within labor unions, religions, gender, and race are currently evident as new and unheard-of alignments take shape.

AI technology, cyber warfare, and government action to freeze bank accounts as a means to strike fear into demonstrators cannot be underestimated. Guerilla ‘online’ warfare will become a preeminent weapon to mislead, betray, and ambush opponents.

If things worsen to levels unseen, states will call up their National Guard not only to ensure stability but also to prevent federal-level actions against perceived rogue states holding back their electoral college votes over a questionable and fair election. Can we anticipate a scenario where the American military is called to act in the homeland. Will the generals act on their orders and would the soldiers side with lower-level ranked officers who are not aligned with their superiors. Mutiny is not uncommon in a revolution where men with their guns side with the people over the government. Could it be plausible that half the country and a number of states establish a second capital in Texas or Florida in opposition to Washington DC.

If the mounting pre-election day legal challenges currently taking place between the RNC and DNC or the DOJ and Governors over legality of ballots is any indication of what lies ahead, American is in for an unprecedented fight for the soul of the country post-election. American national identity is at risk from what many believe is a result of unconstrained immigration and globalization blurring the lines between order and chaos.

This potential election crisis at what ever level one believes will take place the day after can only be avoided if there is a clear winner where the lead in ballots cast and the electoral college result is large enough where the opposing party cannot justify mounting an effort to overturn the election. This is the best-case scenario for America and the world.
