In a devastating revelation from a recent probe conducted by the 143rd “Gaza” Division, it has been uncovered that more than 6,000 terrorists infiltrated Southern Israel during the brutal October 7th Massacre. The Jerusalem Post reported that the new probe was submitted to IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Herzi Halevi and published on Saturday on the N12 News site.

This coordinated assault involved Hamas terrorists and others crossing into Israel by land, air, and sea, while over 4,300 rockets were simultaneously launched at communities across Central and Southern Israel as a calculated distraction.

The scale and complexity of the attack have shocked military analysts and highlighted the unprecedented nature of the threat faced by Israel. According to the probe, of the 6,000 infiltrators, at least 3,800 have been identified as members of Hamas’s elite “Nukhba” naval commandos. These operatives are among the most highly trained within Hamas, equipped with specialized skills in maritime warfare, and played a key role in the infiltration efforts.

Their involvement in the attack underscores the seriousness with which Hamas approached this operation, aiming not just to inflict casualties but to demonstrate their capability to strike deep within Israeli territory.

These commandos were likely responsible for some of the most sophisticated and lethal aspects of the attack, including targeted assaults on military installations and critical infrastructure. Their presence within Israel for such a prolonged and organized operation raises questions about the preparedness and response capabilities of Israeli security forces.

In addition to the trained Hamas terrorists who crossed into Israel, the probe identified a significant number of looters among the 2,200 Gazans involved in the attack. The JPost report indicated that these individuals were not members of any organized terror group but were instead ordinary residents of Gaza who seized the opportunity to cross into Israel amidst the chaos.

Once inside Israel, these looters engaged in widespread theft, vandalism, and acts of violence. Their actions added another layer of complexity to the situation, as Israeli security forces had to contend not only with heavily armed terrorists but also with roving bands of looters who were causing destruction in civilian areas.

The participation of these individuals highlights the fact that Gazan “civilians” for the most part are active supporters of Hamas terrorism and could not resist the opportunity to engage in violence against Israeli civilians.

Furthermore, the probe revealed that the scale of the breach in Israel’s border defenses was far more extensive than initially believed, with 119 breaches identified—almost double the earlier estimate of 60.

The attack on October 7th represents one of the most significant breaches of Israeli territory in recent history. The probe reveals that the terrorists employed a multi-pronged approach to penetrate Israeli defenses. While the majority crossed the border on land, utilizing tunnels, vehicles, and other means, others took to the skies with paragliders and drones, and some arrived by sea, further complicating Israel’s defense efforts.

The assault was meticulously planned to overwhelm Israel’s security infrastructure. The simultaneous barrage of rockets, numbering over 4,300, served as a powerful distraction, forcing the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to divide their attention between intercepting the rockets and dealing with the on-the-ground infiltrators.

The findings of the probe by the 143rd “Gaza” Division have significant implications for Israel’s security strategy moving forward. The scale of the infiltration, the sophistication of the operation, and the involvement of both organized Hamas terrorists and opportunistic looters suggest that Israel’s southern defenses may need to be re-evaluated and reinforced.

Furthermore, the attack has likely set a precedent for future conflicts, where similar multi-faceted assaults could be attempted. The IDF and other security agencies will need to adapt to this new reality, ensuring that all potential points of entry are adequately defended, and that the response to such complex attacks is both swift and decisive.

In the aftermath of the October 7th Massacre, Israel faces the daunting task of not only mourning the lives lost but also rebuilding its sense of security. The probe’s revelations have laid bare the challenges that lie ahead, as Israel grapples with the threat of future incursions and the broader implications of the attack on its national security.
