Turkey is an unusual country. Half of its large territory is in Europe, and half in the Middle East. Its 90 million population is 99% Muslim, of which 75% are Turks, who live in the West, and 20% Kurds, who mainly live in the East. Turkey’s economy is growing by 4% in 2024, but inflation is 50%, as is the interest rate. Annual per capita GDP of about $10,000 is the 19th largest globally, but the unemployment rate is 9%.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan (70) has been President for ten years, representing the Justice and Development Party, a radical Muslim party. He is a distinct contrast from the first President of modern Turkey, Kemal Mustafa Ataturk, who was President from 1923 to 1938. Ataturk created a modern secular state. Erdogan has spent the past ten years advancing Turkey’s economy while turning it politically backward into an Islamic state, as was the failed Ottoman regime (1300-1922).
In 1951, the US built the large Incirlik base in central Turkey to project power against the Soviet Union and towards the Middle East. In 1952, at the height of the Cold War, Turkey joined NATO along with its long-term Christian rival, Greece, and strengthened NATO at that time from threats from the Soviet Union. Since then, Turkey has been protecting the Black Sea from Russian aggression and allowing NATO to operate out of the very large base in Incirlik.
Turkey is the only Muslim country in NATO and has long been a key ally and trading partner. However, relations with Turkey have deteriorated steadily in the past decade since the radical Muslim Erdogan became President. Turkey can no longer be considered a friend of America and is more of a half-friend or “frenemy.” However, NATO does not want to kick Turkey out for fear it would join Russia.
Meanwhile, Turkey actively works with Qatar in support of the radical Sunni Muslim Brotherhood (MB), which also funds the construction of mosques and madrassas throughout Europe, the US, and Latin America. The Muslim Brotherhood has been fostering the expansion of Shariah law, which contradicts almost all aspects of America’s Constitution and Bill of Rights. The Muslim Brotherhood should be considered a cultural terror organization, though it has led to the creation of numerous physical terror organizations such as Al Qaeda and ISIS, among others.
Turkey has become particularly problematic since the October 7, 2023, horrific genocidal attack of Hamas on Israel- killing more than 1200 civilians. Hamas is the Gaza branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, which is supported by Erdogan’s Turkey, Qatar, as well as the radical Shiite Iran, who object to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) killing or capturing virtually some 40,000 Hamas terrorists in Gaza. Turkey not only threatened to help save Hamas from defeat but preposterously also accused Israel of wanting to take over the Muslim world, including Turkey itself. We should recall, however, that in 1453, the Muslims took over the Christian Byzantine Empire, which became Turkey. Now, Erdogan calls for a radical Sunni Muslim axis to fight Israel.
What should the U.S. do to manage its relationship with problematic Muslim Brotherhood-supporting countries such as Turkey and Qatar? What should America do to protect itself from the radical Shiite Iran, which supports the Hamas Death Cult and has also promised to kill everyone in Israel (Death to Israel) and everyone in America (Death to America)?
In broader terms, what should America and Christian Europe do to protect themselves from the radical Islamic threat of imposition of Islam on Christians, Jews, Hindus, and other infidels? Unchecked, Islamism will take over and destroy most Christian countries over the next 100 years. The only remaining significant countries would probably be China, India, and Russia, all of whom would not hesitate to kill an unlimited number of Muslims to save their culture. It is time for the Western world to stand up and defend its rights, starting now!
Here are a few suggestions:
1) The US should designate the Muslim Brotherhood as both a domestic and foreign terrorist organization.
2) The US should pressure Turkey and Qatar to stop funding the Muslim Brotherhood activities in Western countries.
3) The US should monitor all mosques financed by Turkey, Qatar, or Iran and then close all those preaching hatred of Christians, Jews, and others.
4) The US should forbid all schools and politicians from taking any funds directly or indirectly from Turkey, Qatar, and Iran.
5) The US should force Turkey to end its illegal occupation of Northern Cyprus.
6) The US should pressure or force Iran to terminate its nuclear weapons program and dismantle its worldwide terror organizations with millions of operatives.
7) The US should support the establishment of a Kurdish state in territory from eastern Turkey to Syria to Iraq and Iran.
8) The US should close Qatar’s propaganda TV, Al Jazeera, and any comparable fake media from Iran or Turkey.
None of these suggestions are easy to implement, but the US and the Western world must make their final stand for survival now.
