(TJV) In the hours leading up to a second assassination attempt on Donald Trump, Texas Democrat Jasmine Crockett, during an MSNBC interview, implied that the former president and his supporters represent a domestic terror threat. Crockett made the comments on “Inside” with MSNBC host and former Biden Press Secretary, Jen Psaki, just before the violent incident.

Crockett’s remarks came while discussing the controversy surrounding Haitian migrants reportedly eating cats and other animals in Springfield, Ohio. She used the moment to accuse Trump of making the situation worse, saying, “Springfield is going through hell, but they are going through hell because the guy who says he wants to be the commander-in-chief is actually bringing that hell to their footsteps. He decided to amplify a lie on a national debate stage, and that’s harming American citizens.”
She further escalated her rhetoric, claiming that MAGA poses a domestic threat to the country. “When I talk about MAGA, I talk about the fact that when we swore in, we swore to defend against those that are coming against us, whether they are domestic or international. Right now, I feel like MAGA, in general, is a threat to us domestically,” Crockett argued, echoing sentiments often pushed on MSNBC.
Her statements did not stop there. She tied Trump’s leadership to ongoing issues within the U.S., referencing his refusal to openly support Ukraine in its conflict. “He couldn’t say on the debate stage he wanted Ukraine to win. He doesn’t understand who our friends are and doesn’t understand who we are as a nation, which we are a country of immigrants,” she said, shifting focus to Trump’s foreign policy stance.

Crockett even went as far as suggesting Trump and his supporters are tied to bomb threats and domestic terrorism. “The problem isn’t the people coming in, but this guy and his people here doing the bomb threats throughout our country. Domestic terrorism is a real thing, and he is the guy that stokes it.”
We were taught in kindergarten that words have consequences.
When you spend every moment of every day comparing Donald Trump to Hitler and calling him a “threat to democracy”, the result are two attempts to take his life by your supporters.
This is disgusting. pic.twitter.com/vWHodmGPMm

Within hours of this interview, Donald Trump faced a second assassination attempt, this time by a man named Ryan Wesley Routh. While further details about Routh are still emerging, early reports suggest he is a registered Democrat obsessed with the war in Ukraine. Despite her previous comments, Crockett has not yet responded to the attempted assassination.
The timing of Crockett’s inflammatory remarks on MSNBC just before the assassination attempt raises concerns about the network’s role in fostering hatred and inciting violence against Trump and his supporters.
A former FBI agent went on CNN and said that the dangerous media rhetoric comparing Trump to Hitler is what led to this and he’s right.
In America in 2024, you are going to be radicalized just by listening to CBS evening news and the New York Times.

Hours after the 2nd attempt on Trump’s life, pundits on MSNBC blamed former President Donald Trump’s rhetoric for the second attempt on his life Sunday, arguing he needs to “tone it down.”
