Stop Cowering in Fear of Egyptian Ire

Dear Editor:

The unmentionable word regarding the Philadelphi Corridor is “EGYPT”. Out of fear of Egyptian reaction, everyone is cowed into referring to the delivery corridors between Egypt and Gaza as “smuggling” tunnels, as if they were crude, belly crawling dugouts over which Egypt in unable to discern the massive, endless, ongoing importation of weapons, ammunition, and personnel that take place right under its nose. The fact is Philadelphi is astride. a highly organized, technologically sophisticated port at which Egypt – or rather senior Egyptians – collect millions in unofficial tariffs before allowing billions in murderous materiel to enter Gaza from Iran for the sole purpose of annihilating Israel. Until America, the west and indeed, even Israel, stop cowering in fear of Egyptian ire, and call a spade a spade, Philadelphi will continue to be both an achilles heel and a diplomatic quagmire.

Sincerely
JJ Gross

Trump Brought Stability to the Middle East

Dear Editor:

The fate of the Middle East rests in the hands of the President of the United States.

President Trump brought stability to the region by clamping sanctions on Iran, restricting its ability to promote terrorism. He created the Abraham Accords and introduced the ‘Peace to prosperity Plan’ which was immediately rejected by the Palestinian Authority.

When President Biden won in 2020, he freed up Iran to earn billions of dollars. Iran funded Hamas and Hezbollah, leading to the Oct. 7, 2023 massacre.

During Hamas’ war against Israel, Biden has kept a knee on Israel’s neck. He supplied Israel with weapons, but restricted delivery when they would not agree with him. He chastised Israel in the media, accusing it of ‘indiscriminate’ bombing and not taking enough care to avoid civilian casualties. These were libels against the most compassionate military force the world has ever seen.

Biden wants Hamas to remain viable and insists on a 2-state solution.

Hamas will not abide with less than ‘from the river to the sea.’ Hamas’ charter calls for killing all Jews. Hamas will agree to a temporary ceasefire. That’s Taqiyya (lying to the Infidels to gain an advantage). It has pledged to repeat Oct. 7 again and again until Israel collapses.

Israel will be cautious. Most Israelis are descended from the million Jews ethnically cleansed from Arab lands and Iran in the 1940s. They understand the Arabs better than Americans do. Having lived as Dhimmis for centuries, they know what to expect if they become vulnerable.

Israel’s minimum demand is the elimination of Hamas as a political and military force.

There will not be an independent state of Palestine and it will be years before Palestinians gain access to the well-paying jobs they enjoyed in Israel. Perhaps, in time, when the evil taught by UNRWA has been excised from the population, a series of cantons may be established where Palestinians will have a degree of control over local issues.

Biden should stop equivocating, support Israel unconditionally and allow it to finish off Hamas.

Sincerely

A Cat Has 9 Lives

Dear Editor:

A cat has nine lives and so it seems does the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation. Twenty three years later after 9/11 2001 since its subsequent founding and $2.8 billion dollars later, LMDR should have completed its mission years ago. Are there political motivations for Governor Kathy Hochul, State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Steward Cousins, State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie and NYC Mayor Eric Adams for defending keeping this agency open? It is time to shut the LMRC office lights, close its doors and have its remaining staff find gainful employment elsewhere.

Sincerely,
Larry Penner

Anti-Semitism in “The City of Brotherly Love”

Dear Editor:

I am writing in response to the recent article regarding the ADL’s civil rights complaint against the Philadelphia School District over antisemitic incidents. This complaint highlights a serious issue that has long been overlooked: the rise in antisemitic attacks targeting Jewish students within our schools.

The allegations point to a troubling environment where Jewish students face harassment and discrimination, a situation that should never be tolerated. Schools are meant to be safe spaces for all students, and any form of hatred or bigotry undermines that fundamental principle.

It is crucial that the Philadelphia School District takes immediate action to address these concerns. Implementing strict policies against antisemitism and ensuring that complaints are taken seriously is essential for protecting Jewish students and upholding the integrity of our educational institutions. The ADL’s intervention underscores the need for a proactive and decisive response to these incidents.

We must support efforts to ensure that every student, regardless of their background, can learn in an environment free from fear and prejudice. This situation calls for serious attention and action from all stakeholders involved.

Sincerely
Amos Lavorski

Tucker Carlson Promotes Nazi Apologist

Dear Editor:

On Monday, U.S. Representatives Seth Magaziner, Jerrold Nadler, Brad Schneider, Jan Schakowsky, Jamie Raskin, Jake Auchincloss, Becca Balint, Suzanne Bonamici, Steve Cohen, Lois Frankel, Daniel Goldman, Josh Gottheimer, Sara Jacobs, Greg Landsman, Mike Levin, Kathy Manning, Jared Moskowitz, Dean Phillips, Adam Schiff, Kim Schrier, Brad Sherman, Elissa Slotkin, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and Susan Wild issued the following joint statement in response to an interview between Tucker Carlson and Nazi apologist Darryl Cooper:

“As Jewish Members of Congress, we are appalled that Tucker Carlson hosted and promoted Nazi apologist and Holocaust denier Darryl Cooper on his podcast. Cooper made deeply troubling statements, including that the United States was on the ‘wrong side’ in the Second World War, and falsely claiming that millions of Jews in concentration camps ‘ended up dead’ only because the Nazis did not have the resources to care for them. Not only did Carlson provide a platform for Cooper’s ignorance and hate to millions of viewers, he also promoted Cooper by calling him ‘the most important popular historian in the United States.’

“This revisionist and morally repugnant retelling of history is an insult to the six million Jews who were methodically murdered at the hands of the Nazi regime and is especially dangerous now as anti-Semitism is on the rise globally.

“It is also concerning that Elon Musk called the discussion ‘very interesting’ in a post on his platform X, and Republican Vice Presidential candidate J.D. Vance refused to condemn Carlson for promoting Cooper when given the opportunity to do so. Acceptance of hateful ideologies by people in power puts Jews and other targeted minorities across the world at great risk.

“The normalization of Nazism is unacceptable and dangerous, and must be forcefully condemned. Americans deserve to know that their leaders will rebuke the cancers of anti-Semitism and Nazism whenever and wherever they appear.”

Sincerely
Jewish Members of Congress
