(TJV) In an undercover interview with a reporter from Steven Crowder’s Mug Club show, Dr. Jay Varma, former COVID advisor under Mayor Bill de Blasio, revealed shocking details about flouting the same mandates he enforced on New Yorkers during the pandemic lockdowns. Varma, who played a central role in shaping NYC’s response to COVID-19, admitted to hosting secret drug-fueled sex parties, despite his public stance on strict regulations like no indoor dining.

In the video, Varma described how he organized gatherings with his wife and several others, often held in a hidden location below a bank on Wall Street. He explained that these parties, with 8-10 participants, helped him and others cope with the stress of lockdowns, even though he knew the events violated the same mandates he pushed on millions of citizens.
While joking about the “deviant” behavior he engaged in, Varma confessed to being embarrassed by the double standard, acknowledging that if the public knew, they would be furious. “I had to be sneaky about it,” Varma said, adding that he was in charge of the city’s COVID response and publicly shamed those who didn’t comply with restrictions. Yet, privately, he held these gatherings, explaining, “We rented a hotel and took drugs like Molly. We were just naked with friends, having fun.”
Despite his leadership role in enforcing strict lockdowns, Varma justified his actions, claiming that the sex and drug-fueled events were his way of “blowing off steam” during an incredibly stressful time. His behavior starkly contrasted with the restrictions imposed on over 8.8 million New Yorkers, who faced severe consequences for non-compliance. Varma acknowledged the hypocrisy, laughing as he admitted, “This was not Covid-friendly!”
