(DCNF) A former George W. Bush administration official criticized Vice President Kamala Harris over her comments on the Israel-Gaza conflict, saying she has repeatedly made inaccurate statements.
Harris has come under fire since six Israeli hostages taken during the Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attack carried out by the radical Islamic terrorist group Hamas were found dead by Israeli forces. Dan Senor, a former spokesperson for the Coalition Provisional Authority, criticized Harris over her insistence that Israeli forces not go into Rafah.

“What worries me the most is that if you look at what Harris has said as vice president — leave aside what she said as presidential nominee — every time she has had an opportunity to speak on this issue as vice president, she has unleashed criticisms of Israel and said things that are just factually incorrect,” Senor told “Squawk Box” co-hosts Andrew Ross Sorkin and Joe Kernen. “Her positions are far to the left of where Biden was. So now they may say, ‘Well, we’ll just follow Biden’s policy,’ but the statements she was making — I mean, she basically said Israel should not go into Rafah.”
President Joe Biden criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for not accepting a cease-fire Monday. Senor said that Harris needed to answer questions about her opposition to Israeli operations in Rafah.
“Let me just say, one thing Harris was most explicit about was Israel cannot go into Rafah. We now know those six hostages that were slaughtered over the last few days were in Rafah,” Senor said. “There are many more hostages in Rafah. The Hamas high command, including Sinwar, are likely in Rafah. The idea that Israel was being told by Vice President Harris not to go into Rafah, based on what?”
Harris did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
