3 NY Men Arrested for Teaneck Home Invasion After Six Month Investigation

Three New York men have been arrested in connection with a violent home invasion that occurred in Teaneck, New Jersey, in January. According to a report that appeared on Wednesday on the northjersey.com web site, the suspects, identified as Frank Salcedo, 43; Francisco Sandoval, 42; and Brian Arias, 40, were apprehended. Salcedo, Sandoval, and Arias were located and arrested in the Bronx on Tuesday by the New York Police Department. Four counts of first-degree kidnapping
One count of first-degree armed robbery
One count of second-degree conspiracy to commit robbery

Two counts of third-degree aggravated assault
One count of second-degree armed burglary
The home invasion took place on January 12 at a private residence on East Tryon Avenue in Teaneck. According to Musella’s office, the ordeal began at approximately 10:30 a.m. when three masked men, armed with handguns, forcibly entered the home, as was reported by northjersey.com. The intruders restrained two adult occupants with zip ties and proceeded to ransack the house in search of money.
The suspects demanded that the victims reveal the location of any cash hidden in the home. According to the information provided in the northjersey.com web site, over the course of the next several hours, the invaders ransacked the home in their search for money, causing extensive damage by punching holes in walls, ripping apart couches, destroying furniture, and dismantling vents and cabinets. Eventually, the suspects left the residence, and one of the victims managed to free themselves and call the police.
During the invasion, two more individuals arrived at the home and were also taken hostage at gunpoint. By the time police arrived at the scene around 3 p.m., all four victims had been held captive for nearly 4½ hours. The responding officers found the initial two victims still bound inside the home.
The investigation into the home invasion was launched immediately after the incident was reported. Indicated in the northjersey.com report was that Teaneck police, with the assistance of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, conducted an extensive probe that lasted six months. A key breakthrough came when a GPS tracking device, secretly placed by one of the suspects, was discovered in one of the victim’s vehicles. This evidence played a crucial role in tracking down the suspects.
On Tuesday, authorities arrested Salcedo, Sandoval, and Arias in New York. The men were charged with multiple offenses, including armed robbery, kidnapping, and weapons possession, the northjersey.com web site said.
