The radical stance of “Squad” member, Jamaal Bowman, continues to draw criticism as he faced backlash for his conspicuous silence on the six-month anniversary of Hamas’ brutal massacre of Israelis, the NY Post reported.
Instead, Bowman chose to highlight the 30th anniversary of the genocide in Rwanda, sparking outrage among constituents and political opponents alike.
In a statement issued on Sunday, October 7, Bowman disregarded the tragic events in Israel, focusing solely on the Rwandan genocide. “The horror caused by state-sanctioned violence is unimaginable,” he wrote, emphasizing the need to uphold human rights universally. However, his omission of the infamous Oct. 7 slaughter in Israel, which claimed the lives of over 1,200 people, predominantly civilians, raised eyebrows and drew sharp criticism.
Despite campaigning alongside Jewish supporters and offering congratulations to the University of South Carolina’s women’s basketball team, Bowman’s failure to acknowledge the Hamas massacre did not go unnoticed. His Democratic primary opponent, Westchester County Executive George Latimer, condemned the atrocity in his own statement, underscoring the importance of commemorating the victims and supporting their families.
Pro-Israel activists were quick to condemn Bowman’s silence, with Rabbi Potasnik of the New York Board of Rabbis expressing disbelief at Bowman’s apparent lack of concern. “I would expect someone to have a conscience,” he remarked, highlighting the significant Jewish population in sections of Westchester County.
Latimer echoed these sentiments, questioning Bowman’s integrity and decency. “How does Bowman look people in the eye?” he questioned, lambasting the incumbent representative for his apparent indifference. Mark Mellman, president of the pro-Latimer Democratic Majority For Israel, reinforced this sentiment, citing Bowman’s extremism as a reason for his trailing position in the race.
Bowman’s campaign remained silent in response to the criticism, failing to address the concerns raised by constituents and political opponents alike. A recent survey by DMFI purportedly showed Latimer leading Bowman by a significant margin among likely Democratic voters, further underscoring the growing dissatisfaction with Bowman’s far-left views.
This isn’t the first time Bowman has courted controversy regarding his stance on the Hamas-Israel conflict. A recently surfaced video from a November 17, 2023, rally captured Bowman’s incendiary remarks, where he referred to Israel as an “apartheid” state and dismissed reports of atrocities committed during the Hamas terror attack as propaganda.
Despite attempts to clarify his stance, Bowman’s history of inflammatory rhetoric and his failure to address legitimate concerns continue to tarnish his reputation among constituents and within the Democratic Party. As the primary election approaches, Bowman’s radicalism may prove to be his downfall, alienating voters and jeopardizing his bid for re-election.
The good news is there is a good possibility, the radical, anti-white, anti-Jewish socialist may lose his power and be removed from congress by the voters. In a shocking new poll obtained exclusively by The NY Post, Westchester County Executive George Latimer leads Bowman 52% to 35% among Democratic primary voters in the 16th Congressional District, which takes in southern Westchester County and parts of the northeast Bronx.
Among Democrats who voted in at least three of the last four primaries, Latimer’s lead grows to 21 percentage points — 56% to 35%, according to the survey conducted by veteran Democratic pollster Mark Mellman for the pro-Latimer Democratic Majority for Israel.
” The only way is to remove, every single Democratic socialist from power, Republicans in NYC, should switch parties and vote in the Democratic primaries, against people like Bowman”, a conservative activist told TJV.
