Amidst internal turmoil, CNN finds itself grappling with accusations of institutional bias in its coverage of the Israel-Hamas conflict, as reported by The Guardian.
Apparently, some reporters want to be able to fiercely attack Israel and present Palestinian propaganda to the world via CNN.
The expose sheds light on discontent brewing among some of CNN’s own employees, who allege a systemic favoritism towards Israel within the network’s news coverage, and who wish to inject Palestinian propaganda disguised as reporting into CNN coverage.
The Guardian’s investigation, drawing upon insights from multiple CNN newsrooms across the globe, as well as internal communications, uncovers a deep-seated unease among staffers, and also obvious anti-Israel bias.
The Guardian, which itself is a far left publication, ignores the fact that almost all criticism, of Israel’s response to the Hamas Terror Attacks, is slanderous blood libel against the Jewish people and the IDF.
According to far-left The Guardian, CNN’s daily news coverage of the conflict is guided by stringent directives that appear to impose restrictions on featuring perspectives from Hamas and other Palestinian sources.
The far left is in other words, angered the network wants to present news instead of Hamas propaganda and deadly lies and anti-Semitism.
In response to these accusations, a CNN spokesperson has vehemently denied claims of biased coverage, emphasizing the network’s commitment to fairness and inclusivity in its reporting.
The spokesperson underscored CNN’s persistent efforts to provide a balanced portrayal of the conflict, including actively seeking out voices from Gaza and the Palestinian perspective, alongside Israeli viewpoints. The network further asserts its advocacy for access to Gaza for journalistic purposes, highlighting its unwavering dedication to accuracy.
Despite CNN’s assurances, discontent among staff members persists, with some expressing reservations about the network’s editorial approach. According to sources within CNN as reported by The Guardian, there have been instances where reporters have been kept off stories about the conflict by senior editors or have refrained from pursuing certain stories due to fears of not being able to present a comprehensive narrative. The reluctance to engage with Hamas and other Palestinian sources has also raised concerns among some CNN employees, who argue that such an approach deviates from established journalistic principles. Again, the unnamed reporters want to present the disproven lies of terrorists, mainly Hamas.
Furthermore, The Guardian’s investigation reveals that CNN’s Jerusalem bureau plays a significant role in shaping the network’s coverage of the Israel-Gaza conflict. This bureau, according to sources cited in the report, reviews every story broadcasted on live television and reported on the network’s website, imposing guidelines similar to those of the Israel Defense Forces’ Military Censor unit. Some within CNN view this practice as compromising journalistic independence, highlighting concerns about the editorial oversight imposed by the bureau.
Allegations of editorial influence have also been directed at CNN’s editor-in-chief and CEO, Mark Thompson, who assumed his role in October. Thompson’s leadership has come under scrutiny, with some attributing the network’s perceived pro-Israel bias to his editorial directives.
To CNN’s credit, in the last several years the network has shifted from an extremist far left propaganda mill for the Democrat party, into a more balanced news outlet. The Guardian’s report unknowingly exposed in general the anger of progressives, when they do not have total control of the message disseminated from mainstream media.
The internal discord within CNN underscores the progressive left’s desire to bombard Americans with Hamas propaganda.
