Anti-Semitic YouTuber Faces Backlash for Harassing Customers at NYC Israeli Café & Starbucks

Edited by: Fern Sidman

Controversial Muslim YouTuber Adam Saleh, known for his street fighting videos, has sparked outrage and accusations of anti-Semitism after posting footage of himself harassing customers in an Israeli café and a Starbucks in Manhattan, as was reported by the New York Post. The incidents, which took place in December, have drawn criticism from fans and the affected businesses, leading to questions about the limits of free expression and responsible online behavior.

Mockingly, he approached customers, asking for signatures on a petition supporting Israel. However, he later informed them that the terms and conditions of the petition included “killing thousands of Palestinians,” making inflammatory statements that echoed talking points from the Hamas terrorist group, the Post report said.

In a video posted on December 15th, Adam Saleh, accompanied by two friends, entered the Blue Stripes café in Union Square. The Post report said that Saleh proceeded to pull down the Israeli flag displayed in the café while chanting, “Free, free Palestine.” The video garnered over 50,000 “likes” before being deleted following inquiries from media outlets, including The New York Post. The footage, however, remains accessible on the Jewish Breaking News Instagram page.

Saleh’s video received criticism, with many accusing him of anti-Semitism for his provocative comments and actions. As was reported by the Post, some social media users commented on the blatant anti-Semitism, ignorance, and uneducated nature of Saleh’s behavior. Others questioned Saleh’s claim that supporting Israel equates to endorsing genocide, highlighting the complexity and sensitivity of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Saleh’s actions in the café were met with shock from patrons, one of whom confronted him about his right to remove the flag. Saleh responded dismissively, stating, “I don’t give a f–k what you say.” The report in the Post indicated that he went on to make claims, repeating allegations by the Hamas terrorist group, about Israel promoting the killing of children. The café owner, Alon Kazdan, explained that he had displayed the Israeli flag in solidarity with his country after the Hamas terrorist attacks on October 7th. The Post report said that he acknowledged the disruptions caused by individuals chanting “Free Palestine” but stood firm in his commitment to expressing solidarity with Israel.

The following day, Saleh posted another video, this time from a Starbucks in Union Square. As was noted in the Post report, in the video, Saleh is seen yelling at customers, accusing them of “funding a genocide” due to Starbucks distancing itself from a union’s “Solidarity with Palestine” post. The post in question had been deleted by the union, but Saleh continued to berate Starbucks patrons, further escalating tensions.

Starbucks CEO Laxman Narasimhan attributed the recent acts of vandalism at Starbucks stores to “protesters influenced by misrepresentation on social media of what we stand for.” According to the Post report, the coffee giant emphasized its condemnation of violence and the loss of innocent life, asserting that it has “no political agenda.”

Saleh is no stranger to controversy, having sparked debates and criticisms in the past. In 2016, he reportedly fabricated a story about being removed from a Delta Airlines flight for speaking Arabic. The Post report said that in 2014, Saleh staged a race-related dispute in front of a police officer for a “Racial Profiling Experiment” video. These incidents contribute to a pattern of hate filled actions by Saleh, raising questions about the motivations behind his behavior.

Saleh has also been vocal about his support for Palestine on social media, often posting messages reflecting his views. The Post report said that his reposted statement on X emphasized the slogan “FREE PALESTINE,” accusing others of being “sellouts and slaves to the media’s agenda” for not explicitly supporting Palestine over Israel.
