Controversial left wing, radical Shaun King, known for his involvement in the Black Lives Matter movement, faced a setback as his Instagram account, boasting 6 million followers, was blocked by Meta. King, who claimed to have assisted in the release of two US citizens kidnapped by Hamas, accused Israel of genocide and war crimes. His account deactivation followed multiple instances of violating Instagram’s policies by praising designated entities, as stated by a Meta spokesperson.
King is a notorious grifter who took advantage of the George Floyd incident to become wealthy, he preyed on bleeding heart leftists to make millions on the political grift.
The Daily Beast shed light on his “shadowy” PACs and his Grassroots Law Project nonprofit.
“Shaun King’s nonprofit amassed millions of dollars in donations in the months following the 2020 murder of George Floyd, while its signature project to review and redress prosecutorial injustices in three major U.S. cities floundered—and while King himself and his associates raked in hundreds of thousands of dollars in compensation,” the Daily Beast reported.
“The tax documents reveal that during the first year of its existence, a period that coincided with the largest racial justice protests in the nation’s history, the organization collected more than $6.67 million. Further, Federal Election Commission records also show that two political action committees tied to the controversial activist have poured close to half a million dollars into the organization,” researcher William Bredderman wrote.
There is also a cloud over his claims that he is black. Conservative reporters discovered that both of his parents are white, yet he identifies as a black man, a common trick of radical left race grifters such as Rachel Dolezal.
Palestine and Israel appears to be his latest cause de celebre, without a doubt the crafty grifter will appeal to mindless left wing imbeciles to bilk them of more money to “save the Palestinian children”. Political grifters will move from one issue to another, appealing to the emotions s to bilk money from the bleeding heart.
In response to the ban, King posted a video message through a friend’s Instagram account, expressing frustration and maintaining his stance on Palestine. He criticized Israel for alleged war crimes during its military campaign in the Gaza Strip, initiated in response to Hamas terrorists killing around 1,200 Israelis and abducting about 250 on October 7.
While King has consistently criticized Israel and shared Hamas propaganda videos claiming hostages were treated well, Meta’s move to block his Instagram account underscores the platform’s commitment to enforcing content policies. Facebook, another Meta-owned platform, has not taken similar action against King as of Monday.
The incident adds to the ongoing scrutiny of social media platforms’ moderation policies. Meta’s decision to block King’s account aligns with broader concerns about illegal content and disinformation on social media, prompting regulatory probes, such as the recent European Union investigation into Elon Musk-owned X (formerly Twitter).
King’s credibility came into question in late October when he was accused of fabricating claims about his role in the release of two Americans held by Hamas. The Raanan family, whose members were allegedly freed, vehemently denied any connection with King, labeling his statements as lies.
Apart from the controversy surrounding his activism, King has faced criticism for his spending habits. Despite portraying himself as a champion of the poor and disenfranchised, he has been accused of extravagant spending on homes and security.
