A former U.S. immigration judge, Andrew Arthur, has accused the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) of deliberately withholding the total number of illegal immigrants released after encountering border agents, as was reported by the National Pulse web site. Arthur claims that this lack of transparency is a calculated move to avoid negative media coverage for President Joe Biden. The allegations raise concerns about the extent of illegal immigration and its impact on local communities, as was reported by thenationalpulse.com web site.

Arthur, who served as an immigration judge in York, Pennsylvania, points to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Office of Field Operations (OFO) as the agencies involved in concealing monthly figures. He contends that the true motive behind this concealment is to hide the fact that more than 100,000 individuals are being released monthly into the United States, according to the report on the National Pulse web site. By keeping these numbers under wraps, the DHS may be attempting to obscure the potential effects of these migrant releases on various communities across the nation.

Arthur challenges claims that DHS is incapable of providing accurate statistics. The National Pulse report indicated that he cited court-ordered disclosures in the case of Texas v. Biden, which demonstrated that the agency possesses the capability to provide the public with data on the significant number of illegal entrants encountered by the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at the southwest border, who are subsequently released.

The court-ordered monthly disclosures in the Texas v. Biden case were terminated in August 2022 when the court orders were lifted, the report noted. This has raised concerns that without these disclosures, the public and lawmakers will be left in the dark about the scale of illegal immigrant releases and their implications.

In a recent incident that underscores the ongoing challenges at the border, a group of seventeen illegal immigrants was captured attempting to breach the U.S. border by fleeing a boat that had collided with a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Marine Unit off Jupiter Beach, Florida, as was reported by the National Pulse.  The boat’s captain was also apprehended by U.S. Border Patrol agents.

These allegations come amid debates over immigration policies and border security in the United States. As the former immigration judge highlights the lack of transparency, concerns persist about the consequences of unauthorized border crossings and their potential impacts on local communities. The issue of illegal immigration continues to be a point of contention in national discourse, raising questions about the government’s role in addressing these challenges.
