Israel Needs to Get with the Program

Dear Editor:

“For the first time, an annual Gallup survey found that Democrats’ sympathies lie more with Palestinians than Israelis by a margin of 49% to 38%…sympathy toward Palestinians among U.S. adults is at a new high of 31%…”, Time Magazine, July 19, 2023.

What comes next, after you are an organ harvester and a maimer of children?  How many wake-up calls do we need?  “Israel’s government wrote to Princeton University requesting a book accusing Israel of harvesting Palestinians’ organs  and “maiming” them be removed…Academics have accused “Right to Maim”…for trafficking in anti-Semitic blood libels…The Princeton Alliance of Jewish Progressives issued a statement describing the issue as a “right-wing Zionist attack.” The Daily Princetonian, published an open letter signed by students, faculty, and staff in defense of Larson’s plans to teach Puar’s book.” https://www.algemeiner.com/2023/08/18/israeli-government-asks-elite-university-remove-blood-libel-book-course/

Why do we not hear Israel speaking out to refute the Big Lies on a more regular basis?  In my Blog, “Israel Gets an F”,  https://blogs.timesofisrael.com/israel-gets-an-f/ ,  This is a wake up call for Israel to finally do what it should have been doing since becoming a nation. I love Israel. But Israel needs to take the funds spent, say, on their outer space program, (which is where they will soon be sending all Zionists), put a hefty down payment on a Public Relations firm, persuade American, European, all Jews to “put aside their differences” and collaborate on getting facts and basic truths out.  This has nothing to do with Israel’s policies. This is about refuting inaccurate smears, biased, “reporting”, and demonizing Zionists, Jews and Israel into the subhuman. The blood libels in “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion” is a best seller, widely read and believed as truth by these “Palestinian” Arabs, the darlings of mainstream media.

The totality of the failure of collective American Jewish organizations to get even basic facts about Israel printed by mainstream media, or disseminated on campuses, or to the average American, is astounding.  I can’t think of a better time to revisit words of wisdom attributed to Albert Einstein, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Is Trump Truly Unstoppable?

Dear Editor:

The Democrats are desperate. They’ve been persecuting Trump for well over 6 years and he’s growing unimaginably ever stronger even as their charges against him accumulate. He appears to be unstoppable. They are frightened, in dire straits. Their failing candidate, Biden, is on the verge of either a complete physical or mental collapse. He cannot continue much longer. The Hawaii fires, the stalemate in Ukraine, the border and crime crises and the growing unveiling of the treasonous Biden Family’s history of dubious, indefensible deeds have made the party’s leaders willing to go to all lengths to retain the White House in 2024.

At this point, they’re frantic. Enough to do the unthinkable: To actually remove Trump, physically, from the scene. Really get rid of him.Throw into this theory, Robert Kennedy Jr.’s claim that the CIA was responsible for JFK”s assassination, last week’s killing by the FBI of a man who allegedly threatened Joe Biden and the recent murder of a conservative candidate for the presidency of Ecuador. He was running on an anti-crime and government corruption exposure ticket. Sound familiar? And just who is in total, complete control of all these gun toting agencies? Put it together. Again, the unthinkable is always just a stone’s throw away.

At this moment, Biden is threatened with devastating criminal charges once the House gets its disorganized act together to set up the long awaited impeachment inquiry. And there is no doubt, seeing all of the credible evidence piling up portraying the Biden family as a criminal conspiracy having treasonous dealings with the likes of China, Russia and the corruption riddled Ukraine during Joe’s 40 years as sitting Senator and Vice President, that this is exploding their brains. The Democrats’ backs are against the wall and are facing a massive defeat in 2024 if Trump continues to demolish his Republican primary opponents and an honest, deeply investigative House inquiry puts all the facts together. The Progressives are losing control and are, at this time, unbalanced. Anything is possible and nothing is off the table. If they really, as RFK Jr. says, did it to JFK and his Dad, they are surely more capable and better at it now, 50 years later.

With all of the incredible happenings going on now: The total marshaling of the nation’s Soros funded  DA’s, Attorney Generals and prosecutors to throw any criminal charge against Trump and pray for a conviction to put him behind bars for the next campaign and Election Day, indicates their demented, lunatic intent to remove him from running….one way or another. Sad, but true. Think about it and pray for Donald Trump to survive whatever the Democrats are planning to prevent him from retaking the WH and going after the devious, dangerous, criminally treasonous Joe Biden as he has promised. And a Trump promise is a promise kept. That keeps the Dems awake at night. Just pray.

Jack Lew’s Appointment Must Be Stopped

Dear Editor:

Biden wants to make former Treasury Secretary Jack Lew the Ambassador to Israel. This needs to be stopped. Please contact your friends in the Senate and their staffers to stop this insanity before it becomes a reality.

Under Lew’s tenure as Treasury Secretary, America provided the Iranian regime with $150BN in “sanctions relief”, including flying $400MM in cash to the regime on 17Jan2016 in the waning days of the Obama administration.

Lew repeatedly asserted that this massive bailout would lead to a less hostile Iran, that there had been no increase in Iranian-funded terror as a result of this transfer and implied that there would be no increase in Iranian-funded terror as a result of the transfer. The reality is that Lew and his cohorts in the Obama administration rescued a vicious anti-American regime on the verge of bankruptcy.

Re Lew’s assertions on this massive ransom payment not increasing terror, his approval process should include his having to explain that to the spouses, children, parents and siblings of the thousands of US troops killed or disabled since 2016 courtesy of Iranian IEDs and other lethal Iranian-supplied weaponry. He can also explain that to the Ukrainians who have been on the receiving end of Iran’s tools of terror courtesy of over 1K Iranian Shaheed suicide drones supplied to Putin and a factory in Russia that will supply many more suicide drones.

Making Lew an Ambassador to Israel, an ally that lives under the constant threat of over 100K rockets supplied to Hizbollah courtesy of the same Iran that Lew provided $150BN to, would not lead to a warm reception of Lew by the Israeli populace. The analogy would be if Mexico decided to make the El Bajo Jefe of the Sinaloa drug cartel, the largest smuggler of the fentanyl that is killing over 100K Americans a year, their Ambassador to America.

Lew’s appointment would add to the Administration’s insanity of forcing Korea to transfer $6BN to the Iranian regime against the clear opposition of the Korean Government and citizenry. The Administration is doing this at a time when we need Korea to help counter an expansionist Communist China. This action also runs counter to the Administration’s efforts that it is using the many tools of American soft power to bring Saudi Arabia into the Abraham Accords.
