Modern democratic government was created to be a medium to support citizens in ways not possible through individuals alone. Citizens of all countries are obligated to pay taxes and abide by the law; many countries also obligate voting, military service/national service, and other responsibilities for the upkeep of society and its government. The nature of these individual responsibilities is vital due to the important and complex jobs that governments have for their citizens. Protecting the country from foreign and domestic attackers, supporting the vital transportation system, and protecting and expanding the nation’s water and electrical supplies, are some of the many obligatory responsibilities that governments owe to their citizens. When a threat is dealt to one of these governmental obligations from an outside source, the right of a government to respond with full force is essential to its citizens.
Part of the responsibilities of the government is to protect citizens from violence and bloodshed; foreign and domestic. When a citizen is violently attacked or murdered, the government has already failed. The obvious response of either a prosecution or other defense mechanisms initiated after the incident is only the most a government can do after such an attack. However, the government’s first job of protecting citizens from such an event in the first place has already failed. To question, however, a government’s responsibility to make up for the wrongdoing on citizens, is foolish.
Last week, Israel conducted a counter-terrorist operation in the refugee camp of ‘Jenin’ as a result of an uptick of attackers coming from the camp. Many “international observers” and “experts” condemned Israel for defending itself. The head of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres complained, “Israeli airstrikes and ground operations in a crowded refugee camp were the worst violence in the West Bank in many years, with a significant impact on civilians. I once again call on Israel to abide by its obligations under international law, including the duty to exercise restraint and use only proportional force. The use of airstrikes is inconsistent with the conduct of law enforcement operations. I understand Israel’s legitimate concerns with its security but escalation is not the answer. It simply bolsters radicalization and leads to a deepening cycle of violence and bloodshed.”
One might conclude after reading Mr. Guterres’s assessment that Israel has attacked an innocent, peaceful, vulnerable refugee camp that is in no way connected to the recent rising terrorism trend spreading in Israel. Is that true though? If it is true, should Israel remain passive when dozens are killed by terrorists who identify as “freedom fighters”? According to Mr. Guterres however, apparently not! Instead this defense operation “bolsters radicalization” and is an act of “escalation”; terror victims would beg to differ, however.
The obvious foolishness of globalists like Antonio Guterres might be laughable but is nevertheless, one of the most serious threats that threatens countries like Israel. Antonio Guterres preaches to the choir about persevering humanitarian law and promoting “peace”, while ignoring the humanitarian violations of Hamas, the Jenin Brigade, the Taliban, and other terrorist organizations. In the eyes of globalists and their media, their utopian dream of countries remaining passive in the face of injustice to citizens must be abided to! Countries like Israel threaten those that want global power because Israel is a society where culture unites its citizens for the defense and promotion of the country.
Israel’s success in medical science, military technology, academic prodigy, etc. despite its geographic smallness, baffles the ones seeking unlimited, unchecked powers for self-promoting reasons. Israel represents a G-d-believing people who have a 2000-year-plus history of suffering oppression, but despite that, have succeeded in unpredicted ways.
The IDF, the center of this operation has in the past, been labeled by former military heads as an army with an incredible moral compass, that far outweighs the morality even of other Western countries. The IDF’s and Israel’s practice of handing out leaflets to innocent bystanders before an operation, helping all children on the battlefield, giving physical on-hand humanitarian help to countries suffering from disasters, etc. portrays the emphasis that Israel has on humanity. Of course, accountability and transparency are part of the structure of the IDF’s makeup, with a civilian board overseeing the actions of the IDF; unlike the terrorists, Israel has accountability when wrongdoing occurs.
Preserving human life is necessary for a country’s moral and physical survival. Israel’s defense of all human life, except evil terrorists, is not only defendable, it is praiseworthy. The media and globalist anti-semitic smear on a country fulfilling its national responsibilities and human responsibilities, however, is not only detestable, it is being complicit in crimes against humanity.
