Tech Tycoon Reveals Extreme Bio-Hacking Regimen to Achieve Youthful Vitality
Edited by: TJVNews.com
In a quest to reverse the aging process and attain a youthful physique, 45-year-old tech tycoon Bryan Johnson has adopted an extreme bio-hacking regimen that involves unconventional practices and strict dietary habits, as was reported in the New York Post. Johnson, who made his fortune in his 30s by selling his payment processing company Braintree Payment Solutions to EBay for $800 million in cash, has attracted attention for his unique approach to health and longevity. From consuming his last meal at 11 a.m. to swapping blood with his teenage son, Johnson’s routine aims to optimize the functioning of his major organs and achieve a state reminiscent of his late teens, the Post report said.
One of the key elements of Johnson’s regimen is time-restricted eating, also known as intermittent fasting. This practice involves restricting the window for consuming meals, allowing for longer periods of digestive rest. By eating between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m., Johnson seeks to optimize his body’s metabolism and energy levels while promoting weight loss and mental clarity, as was reported by the Post. Time-restricted eating has gained popularity in recent years due to its purported health benefits.
Johnson responded on Twitter to a commenter who quizzed him over his eating schedule, according to the Post report. “Is this a typo? Can you clarify?” tweeted Twitter user Martina Markota, who wondered whether the tech mogul actually ate his dinner before noon. “My final meal of the day is at 11 am. I eat between ~6-11am,” Johnson tweeted, the Post report stated.
Johnson’s dedication to defying the aging process extends to unconventional procedures such as blood swapping and plasma infusion. Inspired by studies involving mice, in which shared circulatory systems improved cognitive function and metabolism, Johnson enlisted his 17-year-old son to be his personal “blood boy,” according to the Post report. This process involves transfusions of plasma directly into Johnson’s veins, a practice that has gained attention within the wellness community. However, it is important to note that the effectiveness of these techniques on human subjects remains inconclusive due to limited research.
Dubbed “Project Blueprint,” Johnson’s approach to bio-hacking encompasses various facets of his lifestyle. The Post also reported that in addition to time-restricted eating and blood swapping, he adheres to a strict vegan diet that totals 1,977 calories a day, exercises for an hour each day, practices high-intensity workouts three times a week, and maintains a consistent sleep schedule. Johnson’s daily routine also involves extensive dental care, supplementation, and regular medical procedures such as ultrasounds, MRIs, colonoscopies, and blood tests, the report said.
“What I do may sound extreme, but I’m trying to prove that self-harm and decay are not inevitable,” Johnson told Bloomberg News, as was reported by the Post.
To prove that point, Johnson wakes every morning at 5 am, takes two dozen supplements, works out for an hour, drinks green juice laced with creatine and collagen peptides, and brushes and flosses his teeth while rinsing with tea-tree oil and antioxidant gel, as was reported by the Post. Before bedtime, Johnson wears glasses that block blue light for two hours.
While sleeping, Johnson is hooked up to a machine that counts the number of nighttime erections, the Post report indicated. He also takes daily measurements of his weight, body mass index, body fat, blood glucose levels and heart-rate variations.
Johnson is not alone in his pursuit of unlocking the secrets of aging and longevity. Many Silicon Valley tech executives, including PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel, have invested significant resources into ventures aimed at extending human life expectancy, the Post report noted. Thiel’s nonprofit organization seeks to redefine aging, aiming to make “90 the new 50 by 2030.” The interest in bio-hacking and longevity among tech leaders highlights the growing fascination with optimizing human performance and defying the limitations of aging, as was reported by the Post.
As the field of bio-hacking continues to evolve, it remains to be seen whether these approaches will yield the desired results in terms of health, longevity, and the reversal of aging.
