Biased Media’s Propaganda War on Israel

Dear Editor:

Headlines from Camera.org’s Media Highlights tells us all we need to know about mainstream media: “NY Times Runs Another Ode to Palestinian Violence; CBS’s Biased Article on Jenin Raid Begins With Incendiary, One-Sided Headline; BBC’s Modern Blood Libel; What did BBC Reports From Jenin Hospital Ignore?; The Washington Post’s Scattershot Reporting on Jenin; BBC Arabic Issues More Than 100 Corrections Following Complaints of Anti-Israel Bias; Algemeiner- “Washington Post Erases Palestinian Terrorists and Strips the Context From Israel’s Jenin Operation.”

What is the reason for the media’s obsession with relentless, false and sloppy reporting, their eagerness to parrot the Big Lies and propaganda put forth by the so-called “Palestinian” Arabs’ who are never called to task for using civilians as human shields?

Do we ever hear mainstream media report on, let alone condemn the outright Jew hate speech on Palestinian Media Watch: “ Abbas has claimed that Zionists fabricated the Holocaust, and were in cahoots with the Nazis. Leading Palestinian Muslim clerics have declared on television that Jews are apes and pigs, cursed, and subhuman.”

The collective media are in notorious company.  If any of these outlets ever get another award for “journalism”, I would strongly suggest they split it with, or at least give credit to Goebbells who successfully and relentlessly issued Big Lies against the Jewish people, until they were deemed subhuman, as you all are falsely demonizing the Jewish State with your slanderous malicious “reporting” whose false content borders on negligent homicide for reducing Israel to an evil entity, worthy of destruction. Israel can do no right. These so-called “Palestinian” Arabs can do no wrong.  You are creating a world where facts no longer matter. And even minimal standards of journalism and research are gone.

You are poster children for why no educated, knowledgeable, objective person believes mainstream media anymore. But if you are a member of the mob who wants Israel destroyed, and every Jew out of the Middle East gone, before you come after Jews world wide, they will gobble you up.

I spit you out.

Sincerely

Stating The Case for Israel’s Right to Exist

Dear Editor:

Greville Mills does not understand the history or the international laws that apply to the Arab-Israeli conflict.

There has never been a state of Palestine. The British Mandate for Palestine was created in 1920 by the San Remo Accords. It was ratified by the League of Nations in 1922 as the reconstituted homeland for the Jews.

Other mandates created at the same time were for Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq. The Anglo-American Convention on Palestine, 1924, guaranteed the rights granted the Mandate.

Article 80 of the UN Charter preserves intact all the rights granted to Jews under the Mandate for Palestine.

When in 1947, the UN General Assembly passed Resolution 181, separating Mandatory Palestine into Jewish and Arab states, it was a suggestion, not law. The Zionists accepted.

The Arabs did not and launched the genocidal Nakba.

Five Arab armies joined Nazi war criminal, Haj Amin al-Husseini, Grand Mufti of Jerusalem in his bid to ‘drive the Jews into the sea.’

They failed. This is the humiliation they live with. The Palestinian desire for revenge is an obstacle to peace.

In summary, under international law, Israel includes Gaza and Judea and Samaria. Only Israel has the right to partition its territory or change its status in any way. The UN can complain all they wish, but they have no legal basis. At best they have the power of moral suasion. At worst, they are hostile Islamist agents.

Sincerely

Confronting Rep. Jayapal’s Position on Israel

(The following letter to Rep Jayapal was written by a reader and sent to the Jewish Voice)

Dear Congresswoman Jayapal,

Last night, my wife who always calls me to the TV when you are on because she loves you and what you stand for told me that she saw you on TV calling Israel a racist country. Being somewhat of a self-taught scholar on Israel, and by the way not a member of any pro-Israel organization, I decided to write to you about this outrageous claim. I hope you will be as tolerant of my words as you are of America’s minorities.

20% of Israel’s population are Arabs who live according to the same laws and have the same opportunities as Israel’s Jewish citizens. An Arab runs Israel’s largest bank. Arab and Jewish doctors and nurses attend the same schools and after graduation work side by side in unsegregated hospitals treating people of all religions and colors. Arabs serve in the IDF to as one person said to defend my country. Yes, Arabs can be and are loyal Israeli citizens. There are even Arab political parties, one of which served in the ruling coalition in the previous government.

Can you imagine a Jewish political party serving in the Palestinians parliament or even a Jew being allowed to live in an Arab city or town? Yet it is Israel that is racist?

Because Israel is holy to three religions, Israeli security goes all out to protect religious shrines and the people who visit them. In Palestinian areas, Jewish shrines are constantly vandalized and the people who visit there threatened with violence resulting in devout Jews needing to be escorted by police. Of course, the negative PR people interpret this as Israel occupying Palestinian lands and regretfully well-meaning people uncritically accept this calumny.

Did you know Congresswoman Jayapal that Palestinian leaders have stated that not a single Jew will be allowed to live in the country of Palestine but it is Israel that is racist ethnic cleansing state?

Perhaps you have heard of the celebrity anti- Jewish figure Mohammed El Kurd and have even heard this charismatic figure speak. At a writers conference in Australia, he stated that he knew there is no apartheid in Israel. he just says so to insult the Jewish state and will continue to do so because I assume there are always people who suspend their skepticism when it comes to anti-Israel claims.

Please don’t be one of them.

You may have some problems with Israel’s polices but racism is not one of them.

Respectfully yours,
Larry Shapiro
