Over 9,000 from 80 Countries Attend Cyber Week Summit at Tel Aviv University

The annual international cybersecurity summit Cyber Week, returned to its in-person format on at Tel Aviv University this week.

Over the past 12 years, Cyber Week has become one of the world’s most recognized  international cybersecurity events, providing unique platforms for experts to share their knowledge regarding the challenges and opportunities in the field.

The event, which runs from June 26-29, is being hosted by the Blavatnik Interdisciplinary Cyber Research Center and the Yuval Ne’eman Workshop for Science, Technology and Security.

Events include over 50 roundtables, panels, workshops, forums, training sessions, competitions, and more.

The 13th Annual International Cybersecurity Conference is the biggest and most highly anticipated event of Cyber Week every year.  Some of the most renowned names in the cyber world discuss crucial dilemmas and unsolved problems facing the public and private sectors of every company, city, and country in the modern world.

The four-day event, which opened on Monday, is jointly organized by TAU, the Israeli National Cyber Directorate at the Prime Minister’s Office, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and is attended by more than 9,000 participants from over 80 countries and regions, according to a statement issued by TAU.   Among the participants are experts, industry leaders, startup companies, investors, academics, diplomats, and government officials, it added.   The event includes a conference, exhibitions, roundtables, panels, forums, workshops, and social events, offering knowledge exchange, methods, and ideas.   Topics regarding cybersecurity in sectors of healthcare, cloud, economics and transportation, among others, will be discussed, according to the statement.

“Cyber is an increasingly vulnerable space that is affecting everyone,” said Prof Isaac Ben-Israel. “Businesses must wise up to the real and growing threat of cyber attacks, and cybersecurity experts must be ready to respond to the escalating demand for cyber security with novel solutions. We must prepare now to be ready for what we know tomorrow will inevitably hold.”
