Can Yeshiva Teachers Protect Our Kids?

The most vulnerable and defenseless individuals in our society, in every society, are the kids. The ones who are sent to schools in order to be taught the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic. So we foolishly thought. For years, parents depended on the schools to follow not only a learning curriculum of fundamentals but how to prepare for higher education, vocations, careers and how to function in society. We have to understand that many immigrants, newcomers to our country years ago, were not prepared, nor capable of the task of educating their kids of things they knew little about. And, over time, even the now fully educated American family has been shunted aside and the schools have taken over to capture and control the minds of our kids. Not a happy scene. We see that now.

Wokeness, cultisms, the belief that all new things and ideas were to be tried and sampled. All of these destructive ideas have been incorporated into our Jewish society and the schools, and we’ll now focus specifically on our religious Yeshivas, that have been unable to protect their wards from these destructive elements that are now creeping into our Jewish family structure.

All children deserve to be protected at home and at school. Jewish kids attending yeshivas are not immune to the horrifying effects of woke culture in their lives. Sadly, we have witnessed this manifesting itself with the increasing number of children who have strayed from the path of Hashem and Torah. Our yeshiva teachers must be cognizant of the tragic fact that our children are exposed to what previously was considered as harmless entertainment for children, but now has morphed into a frightening behemoth. Any young child who views a film from the Disney Corporation is likely to be subjected to transgendered, homosexual and morally deviant characters that can poison their mind and influence them in ways that we never thought possible. Yes, folks, Disney is leading the way in the explosion of the woke culture phenomenon and are aiding and abetting in sexualizing children at very young ages.

 Moreover, when our kids visit libraries, we had best be on high alert for reprehensible perversions that hit them in the face. A simply story hour for kids at the library is not the innocuous activity that we once thought it was. Teachers and parents should be advised that kids who attend libraries may very well run into “Drag Queens” who, in full regalia, read stories to our kids and interact with them on a very personal level.

For those not in the know, libraries now openly hold “Queer” shows for toddlers and their parents, where transgender men, dressed as women, dance and display themselves in what is considered, entertainment.

Let’s not forget that the professional and slick messaging that emanates from the denizens of the far-left woke world is geared towards influencing and shaping the minds and characters of our kids. The books our kids read, the movies and cartoons they view, the subject matter that is taught to them, is all orchestrated to create a generation that does not know whether they are male or female and a generation that will be more than eager to experiment and embrace the type of lifestyles that are not only morally repugnant but will pave a path to their own disaster.

We place primary blame on the teachers, their supervisors and of course the parents who should always keep a watchful eye on what their kids do, where they play and what they learn. Mothers and Dads today, are not just off the boat. They themselves are well educated, experienced and have knowledge of today’s world and its potholes to be avoided.

The Heritage Foundation, not considered a religious institution by any means, recently hosted a summit, “Protecting Children in Education,” to expose, inform, and encourage anyone interested in children and education — especially parents about the subtle way society promotes abortion, the sexualization of children through laws and the media that allow sexuality to be mainstream and how sexual orientation and gender identity has made the way into the lives of children as young as those in kindergarten. Yeshivas may not be as open to these ideas as the public schools, but their students associate with others after class and learn from their friends, peers and even relatives, whatever evils flow through the channels outside of the religious schools and their homes.

Yeshiva supervisors and the teachers they hire have to become more “worldly,” to fully understand the forces that are trying to corrupt their students. The knowledge of Torah and Rabbinical laws, Jewish traditions and history are not enough. They have to know more of the outside world. They must understand that kids are all curious and will always seek out that which is forbidden. Yeshivas must be prepared to understand the forces working to indoctrinate kids with the corruptness of “wokeness” to turn them away from religion, their families and the beliefs they were raised to conform to.

The drug scene cannot be ignored by our religious educators. It’s there. Affecting all of our families. Temptations are always around us and they will never go away. Our kids spend at least eight waking hours a day under the supervision of their teachers. More than they spend with their families. And we must send them to schools where the staff, from principals down to the teachers must be aware of the dangers confronting their wards from the outside. We encourage these educators to understand how these forces work and function and they must be prepared by workshops to protect their students from being affected and corrupted by them. We suggest a conference of all Jewish religious schools be planned to confront these issues. Our Jewish families depend on the religious schools they choose for their kids, to teach them not only Torah and the basic three “R’s,” but how to function and survive in the outside world into which they ultimately must live and work in and raise their own families. The time to wake up to “Wokeness,” is now
