Trans Daughter Charged in Murder of Bensonhurst Dad – Fabricated Story About Alleged Break-In to Cops

A 61-year-old man was stabbed to death inside his Brooklyn apartment Thursday in what may actually have been a murder committed by his own daughter, sources told The Post. The paper reported that NYPD officers who were called to the scene initially said that the death was a result of a home invasion, however, updates proved otherwise.

Speaking to the Post, sources told the paper that the 22 year-old transgendered daughter of Carlos Secondino, a delivery man for a local diner, is believed to have fabricated the story for cops about an alleged break in at the Bensonhurst home that they all shared in order to cover her tracks.

According to an updated story in the Post that appeared late on Thursday, Nikki Secondino, 22, has been  charged with killing her father inside the family’s Brooklyn apartment. The Post reported that she grinned for the cameras Thursday night as she was led out of an NYPD station house.

The trans daughter was hit with the murder charge and other offenses after police initially believed her dad, Carlo Secondino, was stabbed to death during an early morning home invasion at their Bensonhurst home, the Post reported.

Sources told The Post earlier Thursday that Nikki was suspected of concocting the fake story about the break-in to cover up her own brutal crime.

Police had said two robbers broke into the family’s home on 17th Avenue near 82nd Street around 6 a.m. and demanded money from a safe before killing the dad and injuring both of his daughters, the Post reported.

Cops told the Post that Secondino died at the scene from his injuries. The 19 year old younger sister was taken to Maimonides Hospital in the Borough Park section of Brooklyn where she was listed in critical condition.

Nikki Secondino, who allegedly manufactured the tall tale about being victimized by robbers was taken to Langone Hospital, according to sources who spoke with the Post.

The Post also reported that cops said there was no safe in the home. No arrests had been made as of Thursday morning.

Sources also told the Post that due to reports of domestic violence in the home, police were summoned to the home several times this year. One police visit came on July 15th when Secondario was accused of threatening to kill the younger daughter and another call to police was made on September 19th when he allegedly slapped the older daughter.

Police sources said that a third incident occurred on July 14th. The younger sister was charged with assault and criminal mischief after ripping off the window blinds in an argument with her older sister, the paper reported.

Secdondino’s employer, Yadira Gomez, who is the co-owner of Mike’s Diner where the father of the two women worked as a deliveryman , said that he seemed distracted by “family issues” that he was reluctant to discuss, the Post said.

“I know that there was always fights. He was always working here all day, but during the day he would always say she’s crazy, she’s got some issues, problems, she doesn’t want to work,” Gomez told The Post on Thursday.

“She was fighting him yesterday and he told the other girl, ‘Go to your friend’s house. Don’t stay here,’ because he was worried.”

Secondino’s Facebook page includes several photos and posts where he expresses love for both of his daughters, the Post reported.

“These girls were abandoned by their mom when they were little, so he was the only one there as a mother figure and father figure,” Gomez told the Post. “Everybody loved that guy here. It’s a big loss for everybody. He would work. He never said no to nothing, helped everybody.”
