Ukraine’s Hypocrisy: Begs Israel for Weapons & Votes Against Them at UN

We’ll take this opportunity, under our editorial privilege, to use a common vulgarity to indicate our total disgust at the actions of the nation of Ukraine, who recently endorsed an anti-Israel United Nation’s motion that urged the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to go after the Jewish State for its chutzpah to remain a free nation and to protect its citizens from Islamic terror. So….we’re “pissed” at Zelenskyy for backing a resolution titled, “Israeli practices and settlement activities affecting the rights of the Palestinian people and other Arabs of the occupied territories,” that demands the Hague based ICJ condemn Israel for “its prolonged occupation, settlement and annexation of what they feel is Palestinian territory.” In other words, “Israel, go to hell!” While being an underdog, as Israel has been since 1948, and currently fighting for its existence against a neighboring enemy, as Israel has done every day since its formation, Ukraine has shamefully shown its centuries of true Jew hating colors. And we’re not having any misgivings for slamming the Ukrainians for their stance.

While openly flouting their anti-Israel voting record in the international arena, the Kyiv regime has been boldly begging Israel to supply them with modern weaponry, air defense and missile systems for quite a long time. Let’s say…since the Russian invasion. And because of Russia, Israel must be very careful and keep a low profile with what it delivers to Ukraine in military support. It already has supplied them with generators, bullet proof ambulances, medications, bandages, medical field hospitals staffed with doctors, nurses and civilian volunteers and Israeli charitable organizations and individuals have taken in many families and children to remove them from harm’s way.

But to bend to President Zelenskyy’s demands to supply his nation with military equipment and hardware is another story. At present, Russia is fighting alongside Iran in Syria. They are allies in that sector. To infuriate Putin by helping to kill his troops would be a bad idea for Israel. Iran would love to attack Israel from its northern vantage point it shares with Russia above the Golan Heights. Its proxy in Lebanon, Hezbollah, is licking its chops to do the same to Israel. But Russia stands in their way and Israel is doubling down on caution to keep the Russkies in charge of Iran’s warlike tendencies. Israel is one of the few nations that still have flights into Russia. So, Israel is playing a “hands off” game when it comes to military aid to Ukraine. We agree!

The Jewish State’s Ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, noted that he personally met with his Ukrainian counterpart before the condemning vote against Israel, to convince him not to support the anti-Israel resolution, to no avail. Erdan sadly lamented that from year to year, Ukraine votes against Israel in the General Assembly. Ukrainian Ambassador Yevgeny Korniychuk responded that Tel Aviv should not rely on goodwill but should gain his nation’s support of Israel by supplying his nation with arms. We stand with Erdan and Israel.

Not only must we keep Russia from intervening  to give the Iranians free rein to harass Israel but the Israelis need all its military equipment they have for their own defense. Its stores of ground to air missiles, mortars, rockets and electronic equipment must always be available and sufficient to ward off any attacks from hostile elements surrounding the tiny nation and from their enemies within. In short, keep sending Kyiv medical and humanitarian equipment and let the Ukrainians start supporting the freedom of Israel in the international community. But don’t give Russia an an excuse to harm the Jewish State.
