Tens of thousands of Jews gather at Jerusalem’s Kotel (Western Wall) to say the Selichot prayers in preparation for Yom Kippur which begins Tuesday evening at sundown. Jews around the world recite the Selichot prayers in which they ask HaShem for forgiveness for their sins prior to the Day of Atonement.
