Israeli Fighter Jets Enter Iranian Airspace Multiple Times in Preparation for Possible Conflict

Israeli F-35 stealth fighter jets entered Iranian airspace multiple times over the past two months as part of exercises, according to a report on the Times of Israel web site.

The unverified report from London-based Elaph said the jets managed to evade Russian and Iranian radar during the drills, according to an i24News report.

The report also indicated that Israel and the United States carried out secret exercises over the Red Sea, simulating a strike on Iran from the sea and the air and the seizure of Iranian warships.

The report, which surfaced on Wednesday comes amid mounting Israeli fears that the Biden administration is poised to conclude a new nuclear deal with Tehran, expected to grant the Iranian regime hundreds of billions of dollars in sanctions relief, as was reported on the National Review web site.

I24 News reported that earlier in January, Elaph, citing the same unnamed source, reported that Israel had carried out massive refueling exercises over the Mediterranean Sea, also in an effort to practice attacking Iran.

The JPost reported that Israel has been preparing its aerial fleet – chief among them the F-35s – to be prepared in the case of a nuclear Iran, specifically upgrading the jets so that they would not require mid-air refueling.

At the beginning of last year, IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kohavi announced that he had instructed the military to begin drawing up fresh attack plans against Iran. By September, Kohavi said the army had “greatly accelerated” preparations for action against Tehran’s nuclear program, as was reported by the Times of Israel.

The IAF recently integrated a new one-ton bomb into the arsenal of weapons used by the F-35s (known in the IAF as the “Adir”) that can be carried inside the plane’s internal weapons compartment without jeopardizing its stealth radar signature, according to the JPost report.

The IDF has held independent as well as joint F-35 drills with other countries over the last few months.

The Israeli Navy has also strengthened its presence off the coast of Lebanon and in the Red Sea, according to the report.

In terms of the new deal that the US is striking with Iran, Israel’s Prime minister Yair Lapid said on Wednesday that he condemns the deal and said the Jewish state “will act to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear state.”

Also making some bold statements on the proposed deal with the rogue Iranian regime, former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, told Fox and Friends in an interview that this deal “is even worse” than the first one that was orchestrated by the Obama administration and known as the JCPOA.

Netanyahu, who was Israel’s longest serving prime minister told Fox and Friends that. “this is a horrible deal that will pave Iran’s path with gold, a golden paved highway to a nuclear arsenal. If Iran has nuclear weapons, they not only threaten Israel, countries in the region and American allies, but they threaten you directly. As they are developing nuclear weapons, they are also developing a means by which to deliver them.”

He added that “Iran is run by these fanatical ayatollahs and they will hold every American city hostage with nuclear weapons.”

Netanyahu said that it is likely that he will be re-elected as prime minister in the coming months and vowed to “do anything that is necessary to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons” as he viewed the deal as a grave threat to peace in the world.

On Monday, Amir Ali Khajizada, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Aerospace Chief, threatened that Tehran could “destroy” Israel, even without nuclear weapons, according to an i24News report.

In an op-ed piece that appeared on Wednesday on the Jewish News Syndicate web site entitled, “Suckers at the Casbah: America Getting Played Again by Iran” by David Suissa, he writes:

What Western negotiators, most notably the Biden administration, have missed is that nuclear concessions are only a cover for what the Iranians really want, which is money, and lots of it. The nuclear bomb can wait for the sunset clause. For now, there is more terror to spread and more Jews to kill.

We know that Iran is the world’s No. 1 sponsor of terror. We know that it uses its proxy armies in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen to wreak havoc across the region. We know that it seeks not accommodation but regional domination. We know that it wants to wipe Israel off the map.

And of course, we know that maintaining this enormous terror machinery takes a lot of money, and that the sanctions have sucked up plenty of it.”
