The ousted CNN anchor and brother of disgraced former Governor of New York has a new gig as a podcast host, but it is not going well. Ratings for Chris Cuomo’s podcast available on iTunes and YouTube.
The New York Post reports that, “according to Apple iTunes’ ranking of top podcast shows, “The Chris Cuomo Project” ranked in 72nd place — down sharply from 51 a day after its July 21 debut despite recent interviews with Sean Penn, Sen. Joe Manchin and former New York Mayoral candidate Andrew Yang.
Cuomo you interviewed Penn in Ukraine about Penn’s documentary he is filming about the war with Russia.
Alexandra Steigrad writes that, “Cuomo’s most recent show, which included a 78-minute interview with Yang, touched on topics like “how the media twists words to serve specific agendas:” as well as the Forward party, a third-party the politician founded”.
CNN fired Cuomo after he advised his brother, then-Gov. Andrew Cuomo, throughout a sexual misconduct scandal. Soon after, the anchor was accused of trying to destroy the network by exposing an affair between former CNN boss Jeff Zucker and his aide Allison Gollust. In March, Cuomo slapped CNN with a $125 million lawsuit, alleging wrongful termination.
As exclusively reported by The New York Post, Cuomo will be joining the fledgling TV network NewsNation on Oct. 3 where he will host a show at 8 p.m. Details of the show have not yet been revealed, but sources told The New York Post that Cuomo has taken a massive pay cut in compensation and amenities to return to the small screen.
According to his Wikipedia page, is an television journalist anchor at Nexstar Media Group, based in New York City. Cuomo was previously best known as the former presenter of Cuomo Prime Time, a weeknight news analysis show on CNN. He has previously been the ABC News chief law and justice correspondent and the co-anchor for ABC’s 20/20, and News anchor for Good Morning America from 2006 to 2009. Subsequently, he was one of two co-anchors of the weekday edition of New Day, a three-hour morning news show, until May 2018.
“In general, liberal leaning cable news ratings have been disastrous and Cuomo represents the old guard of DNC talking points and far left extremism packaged as news. MSNBC and CNN have seen ratings evaporate, while late night TV ratings have also evaporated when the once popular late-night entertainment became yet another outlet for leftist ideology, as Colbert and Kimmel have tiny audiences compared to stars like Jay Leno and Carson brought in for decades, Cuomo’s podcast is a flop, just as Michelle Obama’ s podcast was a flop, no shock. Only thing more unpopular than DNC approved leftist media is out in the open woke propaganda, look at what’s happened at Netflix” political analyst and TJV Web editor, Jared Evan told TJV News.
