The report indicates that three women were the aggressors in this eatery trashing. The Post reported that it was a wild scene on the Lower East Side at approximately 4:10 am on Sunday, when the assailants were apprehended, according to the NYPD. The name of the eatery is Bel Fries, and according to the Post report it is a fry restaurant on Ludlow Street in an area of the Lower East Side that attracts crowds that are drawn to the New York City nightlife scene.
The scenes of unrestrained mayhem that ensued at the restaurant were also posted on Twitter, according to the Post report. The three women, who were eventually arrested for their violent behavior, can be seen throwing glass bottles as well as a metal stool at employees of the eatery. Additionally, they apparently destroyed a plastic barrier, leaped over the counter, and threw sauce all over the restaurant, according to the Post report.
One report indicated that the anger of the women was aroused when the restaurant told them of a fee of $1.75 for extra sauce.
Moreover, this display of anger and disgust attracted a crowd on the street. The Post reported that the people watching the altercation were seen cheering on the video as well as filming the violent scene with their cell phones.
The Post also reported that a restaurant employee issued a warning to the women, telling them “you’re gonna go to jail.” All the while, the livid women were throwing items at this particular employee and one could hear an alarm sounding on the video.
Pearl Ozoria, 27, of Manhattan, Chitara Plasencia, 25, of Brooklyn, and Tatiyanna Johnson, 23, of Brooklyn were arrested by NY police on charges of robbery and criminal mischief, according to the Post report.
Another employee of the Lower East Side restaurant was the recipient of a middle finger gesture by the women and the Post report also said that yet another woman began dancing on the top of the counter.
According to the restaurant’s Instagram page, they were still closed as of Wednesday, as they were forced to shut down for repairs and to recover from the trauma of the hostile attack. The Post reported that the three women arrested for their outrage caused north of $250 worth of damages to the edifice. Both a female and male employee were injured in the melee. New York City police reported that both employees suffered lacerations to their heads.
The Post reported that additional charges of assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct were added to the charges against Ozoria because she allegedly punched the police officer who was in the process of arresting her in the face.
Also charged with criminal possession of a weapon were Plasencia and Johnson, according to the Post report.
