Confronted with voicemail evidence that Joe Biden spoke with his son Hunter about the international business ventures trading on access to the White House, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the president maintains his stance that he had no such conversations.

Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy posed the question to Jean-Pierre on Tuesday, referencing the DailyMail.com report of a voicemail from Hunter Biden’s laptop in which Joe Biden talks about a New York Times story on Hunter’s dealings with a Chinese energy firm controlled by the Communist Party.

“Why is there a voicemail of the president talking to his son about his overseas business dealings if the president has said he’s never spoken to his son about his overseas business dealings?” Peter Doocy asked.

“Well, first, I’ll say that what the president said stands. So if he — if that’s what the president said, that is what stands,” she replied.

Doocy noted Joe Biden said to his son in the voicemail, “I think you’re clear.”

“How is that not him talking to his son about his overseas business dealings?” the reporter asked.

“We’re not — from this podium, I am not going to talk about alleged materials from the laptop. I will — I am not,” Jean-Pierre said.

Doocy asked the press secretary whether or not she was “disputing that it’s president’s voice on the voicemail.”

“I am not going to talk about alleged materials on a laptop. It’s not happening,” Jean-Pierre said. “Peter, I refer you to his son’s representative.”

In March, the New York Times finally acknowledged that the contents reported to be from a laptop abandoned by Hunter Biden at a Delaware repair shop were authentic.

Later in the daily briefing, RealClearPolitics reporter Philip Wegmann followed up.

“You seemed to dismiss Peter’s question about his conversation with his son, Hunter Biden, with regards to his business dealings, and I’m wondering, how is that silence consistent with the president’s promise to always level with the American public?” he asked.

“Phil, I hear your question,” Jean-Pierre replied, “but what I can tell you from here, standing at this podium, is that I cannot comment on any materials from the laptop. And I would refer you to the representatives of Hunter Biden. That’s what I can share with you at this podium, at this time.”

In the Dec. 12, 2018, voicemail, Joe Biden references a New York Times story about Hunter’s dealings with CEFC China Energy. The company is an arm of Communist Party Chairman Xi Jinping’s chief global domination venture, the “Belt and Road Initiative.” Hunter Biden was working on a multi-million-dollar joint venture with CEFC in which the “big guy” – identified by a Hunter Biden business partner as Joe Biden – was to get 10% equity, according to an email from Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop. One of the witnesses before a Delaware grand jury investigating Hunter Biden’s business dealings, according to a source, has been asked: Who is the big guy?”

The Times story mentioned in the voicemail reported CEFC chairman Ye Jianming had been arrested in China. And Ye’s top lieutenant Patrick Ho had been convicted in the U.S. for bribery.

“Hey pal, it’s Dad. It’s 8:15 on Wednesday night. If you get a chance just give me a call. Nothing urgent. I just wanted to talk to you,” Joe Biden said.

“I thought the article released online, it’s going to be printed tomorrow in the Times, was good. I think you’re clear. And anyway if you get a chance give me a call, I love you.”

Listen to the voicemail:

President Biden repeatedly has insisted he never has spoken with his son Hunter about the family’s business deals with Chinese communist-run firms, Russian and Ukrainian oligarchs, and others.

In April, Biden’s then-press secretary, Jen Psaki, said the president stood by his statement that he has never discussed his son’s business dealings with him or with his son’s partners after a report that visitor log files showed Joe Biden met with one of Hunter Biden’s key business partners in the White House.

Along with the emails, photographs and other material on Hunter Biden’s notorious abandoned laptop pointing to Joe Biden’s involvement in the global business scheme – including the mingling of finances and shared bank accounts, and his meetings with Hunter’s business partners while he was vice president – is the six-hour interview Hunter Biden’s former business partner Tony Bobulinski gave to the FBI last year, along with documents, emails and encrypted messages.

It was Bobulinski who identified Joe Biden as the “big guy” in the CEFC deal.

Joe Biden also met another of Hunter’s Chinese business partners, Jonathan Li, when he took his son on a 2013 Air Force 2 trip to China. And Joe Biden entertained Hunter’s Mexican billionaire business partners Carlos Slim and Miguel Aleman Velasco at the White House and the VP’s official residence.
