Poconos camping season typically runs from late April to mid-October, and with dozens of locations throughout the region, we’ve got a style for everyone. Most of our campgrounds are family-owned and spread out across acres of wooded property, providing scenic backdrops and a wide range of bivouacking possibilities.
Whether you’d like to disconnect from the modern world entirely or know you’ll want to check the ‘likes’ on your campfire pic right away, you’ll find campgrounds with just the amenities you’re looking for in the Pocono Mountains. Pitching a tent in your backyard is fun, but why not enjoy a change of scenery? Most campsites in the Poconos are furnished with everything you need: a fire ring, picnic table, water and electric, plus technology and restrooms providing hot showers available upon request.
Looking for a site close to the water? Driftstone Campground in Mount Bethel offers riverfront camping sites along the beautiful Delaware River. Get off the grid and enjoy a classic, old school camping experience at Cranberry Run Campground in East Stroudsburg.

- RV Campsites
Daily, seasonal, long term and year-round RV sites are available at many area campgrounds. Mount Pocono Campground and Pocono Vacation Park are Big Rig friendly, with full hook-ups, 50-amp electric plus free TV and WiFi. Pull thru campsites and back in sites vary by location.
Forgot to stock up your RV cupboards? Most campgrounds have stores for the convenience of tent and RV camping guests alike, offering ice, campfire supplies and snacks, just to name a few items. At Four Seasons Campgrounds, guests can find on RV accessories and propane in the store. On-site activities vary by location but include kid-friendly happenings, game rooms, entertainment and water recreation. Relax by the pool, play a round of mini-golf or join a game of beach volleyball. The choice is yours!
- Cottages & Cabins
If you want to enjoy the great outdoors, but you’re not quite ready to give up all the comforts of home, upgrade your camping experience with a stay at your very own fully-equipped cabin. Campgrounds like Hemlock Campground and Cottages in Tobyhanna offer the best of all worlds, with tent and RV sites as well as cottages and cabins to choose from. Kitchens, fireplaces and BBQ grills are just a few of the conveniences you’ll find in your rental, and it wouldn’t be like home without cable and internet, would it? Extend your camping getaway into a staycation and work from home in a cozy cottage rental.
Experience privacy and comfort from either wooded or waterfront retreats. Loch Highlands is located on the hills above Lake Wallenpaupack, offering incredible views. Enjoy the lakefront spread out in front of you from a rocking chair on your private porch. Countryside Cottages in Bartonsville is great for groups of all sizes, with two to six-bedroom cottages in a picturesque, rustic setting, with amenities like an outdoor pool, tennis courts, game room and playground on-site.

Looking for sports camp training for the kids? International Sports Training Camp offer programs for a range of ages. Spruce Lake Retreat hosts Christian camps for children throughout the summer while Trout Lake accommodates any large group up to 275 people. Spring kicks off the busy season, and we recommend booking sooner rather than later. The earlier you make your camp reservations, the more availability you’ll find!
- Glamping in the Poconos
Ever heard of glamping? You never knew camping could be this glamorous and luxurious! Glamping provides guests staying outdoors with many of the amenities they’d find at indoor accommodations, not to mention an aesthetic backdrop for photos.
A glamping stay at the Campsites at Blue Mountain Resort begins with an ATV ride shuttle whisking guests to private sites with stunning views. Here you can reconnect with the outdoors by exploring hiking trails, fishing at the nearby pond or simply relaxing at your secluded camp site.
Pocono Glamping in Lehighton offers glammed-up tent accommodations with Adirondack chairs to relax in around your fire ring and a custom-built shower house for each site. Enjoy a luxurious tent stay at The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort, either on the North Lawn or right alongside the Delaware River. Nearby showers and restrooms, WiFi and electricity are included with your stay.
