It’s confirmed! Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle are engaged— and have been so for about a year, a source close to the both of them told the NY Post on Monday.
Guilfoyle, 52, formerly a Fox News contributor, ignited the engagement rumors when she shared a picture on Instagram in which she was wearing an enormous diamond ring. “Tonight was extra special celebrating @donaldjtrumpjr’s birthday,” she had written on Saturday, posting a picture of her with Don Jr. standing by a Christmas tree. “Don, you are strong, smart, courageous, funny and the love of my life. I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together. Love you.”
Trump Jr., 44, secretly proposed last New Years Eve, as per the Daily Mail. “Don and Kim got engaged on New Year’s Eve 2020 — which is Don’s birthday. They’ve been together for almost four years now and have been friends for 15 years,” an insider told the outlet. “They’ve kept it private for the past year as they settled into life in Florida after moving from New York” and that “both are focused on their children —they have six between them — and their work,” the source added. Trump Jr. has five children from ex-wife Vanessa. Vanessa had filed for a divorce in March 2018, after 12 years of marriage. They had both been 40-years-old when they had wed in 2005. “After 12 years of marriage, we have decided to go our separate ways,” the couple told Page Six in a joint statement. “We will always have tremendous respect for each other and our families. We have five beautiful children together and they remain our top priority. We ask for your privacy during this time.”
Page Six had first reported that Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle were dating in May 2018. Guilfoyle was previously married to Eric Villency, from 2006 to 2009, with whom she had one son. Before that she had been married to current California Gov. Gavin Newsom for four years, until they split in 2005.
“Being his (Trump Jr.) wife would be something that, of course, would be something that I think would be fantastic. I absolutely adore the family … I already feel married to him.” Guilfoyle had shared in February 2021.
Representatives for Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle did not immediately respond to Page Six’s comment request.
