Joe Biden’s speeches are never much to write home about, but the one he gave last Tuesday at historically black, Morehouse College in Atlanta, was a disaster for him, his party and for his push for congressional overhaul that he falsely describes as, “voters’ rights.” It was vulgar, disgusting, repugnant and filled with lies. Even Wall Street Journal’s Peggy Noonan, not a fan of anything right of center, wrote that it was, “a seminal moment in the history of an administration. It was a disaster.”
We’ll add; it was a crazy rant. Biden’s year long presidency, already tottering, has now crashed. In his attempt to have Congress support two massive Democrat voting bills that would make D.C. the master of election rules, over-riding states, doing away with voter ID’s, and the current Senate Filibuster Rule, he labeled all opponents of the bills as domestic “enemies” on the same level as the most bigoted figures in American history. Shameful.
“Do you want to be on the side of Dr. Martin Luther King or (Governor) George Wallace? Do you want to be on the side of John Lewis or Bull Connor? Do you want to be on the side of Abraham Lincoln or Jefferson Davis?” he asked the crowd and the stunned international viewing audience. The writers of his speech, probably educated in the top universities in the land obviously were not aware that all three of those bigots mentioned above, were staunch Democrats.
All followers of the KKK, the white supremacist group, whose policies Wallace, Connor and Davis all advocated and which was the major component of the Southern Democrats (Biden’s party, by the way) until the mid 60’s. In fact back in 1975, Joe Biden stated, “I think the Democratic Party could stand a liberal George Wallace–someone who’s not afraid to stand up and offend people, someone who wouldn’t pander but would say what the American people know in their gut is right.” Wallace, Alabama’s former governor’s slogan was “Segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever!” A hint that Biden’s memory is not functioning.
Biden, through his handlers, is pushing for full scale mail-in balloting and the removal of photo ID requirements at the polls. He wants to permit campaign workers to lawfully collect mail-in ballots from voters’ homes and deliver them to the counters on the honor system. If you question this practice, you’re on the level of a Bull Connor, who sicked dogs on blacks who, in real life was elected to represent Alabama on the Democratic National Committee. If you’re for voter ID, the same requirement to get vaxxed for Covid-19, to fly on every airline, or to drive a car, you’re a “white supremacist” and for “vote suppression,” pure and simple. Stupid, arrogant and dangerous stances for an ordinary citizen and Biden sits in the White House.
Joe also declared in his speech that our democracy is in crisis unless the Senate Filibuster, the rule requiring 60 of its members to vote to end debate and move to a vote is removed, and thereby permitting a mere 50 votes to be required to pass all legislation in this chamber. That would give now Biden’s Democrat Party complete rule with both houses and the presidency in their control BEFORE the 2022 elections.
If you’re against this massive change, you’re on the level of a KKK member. At this point, neither the ID requirement to vote or the change in the Senate Filibuster rule is in any danger. Biden is playing into the party’s lunatic base. In simple terms, he’s either a liar, dishonest, politically incompetent, or all three rolled up into one package. Your pick.
