Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Roger Pardo-Maurer Claims DOD Had Prior Knowledge of Kabul Attack

During a recent interview with the Spanish-language news outlet Univision, former Army Green Beret and Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Roger Pardo-Maurer, claimed that the Department of Defense had prior knowledge of the suicide bomber who carried out the attack at the airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, and scrambled a Predator drone only to order it to stand down as it locked on its target.

Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Roger Pardo-Maurer said the U.S. Department of Defense already knew who the bomber was ahead of time, before the bombing and when and where the Kabul attack would occur — the Abbey Gate was at “highest risk.”

Pardo-Maurer went further in his interview. He said not only did they know where and when it would happen, but that they had a Predator drone lock on the bomber. “Permission to shoot was requested and was denied by the Taliban. Because we are in this process of negotiating with the Taliban who aren’t even in control of their own government or their own people.”

Fox News national security correspondent Jennifer Griffin has furiously pushed back against these claims.  “The problem is this report is NOT true,” Griffin wrote on Twitter. “Spoke to multiple senior leaders today in chain of command and I am told on authority this DID NOT happen. On the record from Gen McKenzie Spox: Capt Bill Urban, ‘This is NOT true. It never happened.'”

It should be noted Griffin had been embroiled in a fake Anti Trump scandal in 2020 during the height of the election season.

In September 2020, an uproar arose after Griffin, citing anonymous sources, confirmed alleged  key details of an article in The Atlantic that reported President Donald Trump had characterized veterans and fallen American soldiers as “losers” and “suckers.” The far-left Atlantic Article was since debunked, however, she stood by her report. Trump began calling for Griffin to resign from Fox  after the scandal.
