The Duchess of Cambridge, also known as the future Princess of Wales and the future Queen of the United Kingdom and the British Commonwealth was recently seen wearing casual garb when she received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination on the “other side of the pond.”

As reported by PageSix of the NY Post, last week at London’s Science Museum, Kate Middleton wore blue jeans with a white ribbed off-the-shoulder T-shirt from H&M while getting inoculated. She also wore a blue face mask.

The royal, who is married to heir to the throne, Prince William, very rarely gets the luxury of dressing down, and Middleton does a good job of upholding the class required for her stature. Yet and still she has long been a fan of affordable staples from popular stores. While the 39-year-old mother of three is usually clothed in dresses and skirt suits, she has also sometimes been spotted in casual apparel from H&M and its sister brand & Other Stories, as well as ZARA, Gap, Topshop, and ASOS.

The Dutchess, who is mother to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, expressed her gratitude to all those who helped administer the vaccines. She tweeted about getting the shot after she made an appearance on Friday at an NHS-run center at the Museum. “Yesterday I received my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at London’s Science Museum. I’m hugely grateful to everyone who is playing a part in the rollout — thank you for everything you are doing,” Middleton wrote on Instragram.

Prince William, got his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine the week before, also at the Science Museum. As per the NY Post , Price William admitting that he secretly suffered from the novel Coronavirus in April 2020, and needed to be isolated from his family, as had struggled with his breathing. On May 20th, the 38-year-old Prince had similarly commented on the “Duke and Duchess of Cambridge” account on Instagram saying, “On Tuesday I received my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine,” the Instagram caption read. “To all those working on the vaccine rollout — thank you for everything you’ve done and continue to do.”

Prince Charles and his wife Camilla were vaccinated earlier this year, and so was the Queen. Even in London, it’s a little late to be getting the first shot. Almost 75 percent of the UK’s adult population has already gotten their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and close to 49 percent of adults have had both shots, as per government data. As of June 1st, that is 39,477,158 people in the UK who have received the first dose, and 25.7 million people already received both.
