The Jewish Voice Endorses the Following Candidates in the June 22nd NYC primary

For Mayor  – Eric Adams

The Jewish Voice endorses Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams for mayor of New York City. As a “tough on crime” candidate, Mr. Adams spent over 20 years in the NYPD and reached the rank of captain. When elected mayor, Mr. Adams will be in the forefront of strongly addressing the issues of anti-Semitism and the violent attacks that have taken place. On other matters, Mr. Adams has championed the issue of educational choice and believes that parents have the right to provide their children with the kind of educational curriculum that they deem appropriate. Mr. Adams is also committed to significant expansion of job growth, the success of small businesses, affordable housing, improved access to quality healthcare and making New York City more effective by tailoring the interaction of New Yorkers with the city, down to the person.

For Brooklyn Borough President – Robert Cornegy

The Jewish Voice endorses Robert Cornegy, Jr. for Brooklyn Borough President.  As the NYC Council Member for the 36th District since 2013, Robert represents the people of Bedford Stuyvesant and Crown Heights, and has emerged as one of the most effective lawmakers in the city. Committed to an educational system for all Brooklyn students that includes learning about other cultures and interacting with each other. In addition, Mr. Cornegy also wants to make home ownership a priority in his term in office, as well as assistance to small businesses, job training and preparedness and economic equity.

For City Council – 44th Council District – Kalman Yeger

The Jewish Voice endorses Kalman Yeger for re-election to the city council. Mr. Yeger has been a tireless champion for his constituents and has boldly advocated for their concerns in the city council.

For City Council – 45th Council District – Farah Louis

The Jewish Voice endorses Farah Louis for re-election to the city council. Ms. Louis is an exceptionally dedicated councilwoman who works to improve the quality of life for those in the district that she represents by initiating innovative legislation.

For Comptroller – David I. Weprin

The Jewish Voice endorses David Weprin for Comptroller. A lifelong Queens resident, David has served on the New York City Council and in the State Assembly.  David has been a voice and a champion for the most vulnerable, devoting his life to service and making government more responsive, effective and accountable

 For Manhattan District Attorney- Tali Farhadian Weinstein

The Jewish Voice endorses Tali Farhadian Weinstein for Manhattan District Attorney. Ms Farhadian-Weinstein is a tough on crime candidate who also recognizes that racial inequities in our judicial system must be addressed. With a staunch commitment to serve the people of Manhattan, she is by far the best choice for this job
