(TJVNEWS) Jim Caviezel, star of Person of Interest and Passion of the Christ recently told the audience streaming an oddball event called “Health and Freedom Conference”, that children are being harvested for adrenochrome.
Adrenochrome is a chemical compound produced by the oxidation of adrenaline. Some fringe researchers believe that adrenochrome is being harvested from children by torturing them so that they produce the adrenaline which in term produces adrenochrome. The fresh adrenochrome is supposed to produce the ultimate high.
He is promoting his forthcoming film Sound of Freedom, in which he portrays Timothy Ballard, a former special agent for the Department of Homeland Security whose group, The Nazarene Fund(which is a real organization) works to “liberate the captive, to free the enslaved, and to rescue, rebuild and restore the lives of Christians and other persecuted religious and ethnic minorities wherever and whenever they are in need.”
While nobody can actually confirm that there is a cabal of people torturing children to harvest this compound, this theory has popped up on the internet more frequently over the last several years.
Several small-scale studies (involving 15 or fewer test subjects) conducted in the 1950s and 1960s reported that adrenochrome triggered psychotic reactions such as thought disorder and derealization. In 1954, researchers Abram Hoffer and Humphry Osmond claimed that adrenochrome is a neurotoxic, psychotomimetic substance and may play a role in schizophrenia and other mental illnesses.
It is not quite clear why anyone would want to indulge in a substance that can play a role in mental illness.
In his 1954 book The Doors of Perception, Aldous Huxley mentioned the discovery and the alleged effects of adrenochrome which he likened to the symptom of mescaline intoxication, although he had never consumed it himself, The Spinoff pointed out.
Adrenochrome is also mentioned in the movie Clockwork Orange and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, in which a character says “There’s only one source for this stuff… the adrenaline glands from a living human body. It’s no good if you get it out of a corpse.”
The whole topic is interesting indeed. Is it a giant legend or myth in which the story keeps taking on a life of its own due to the various pop culture references or is there something to this bizarre story of powerful people, gathering in the night to torture children to achieve the ultimate high? Jim Caviezel is a true believer in this theory, he seems dead serious.
